I'm dling a 1498MB file and I have 400 hours to go...
I have Cable connection BTW.

Depends on the seed you get. Blizzard has the same problem with their client downloader... someone on cable could get 4kb/s while another on the very same ISP can get 300kb/s. All depends on your luck really.

Yea bit torrent is always slow for me too. I always have like 300-400 hours left.

Spider is right, but leave it running, sometimes it can take quite awhile to pick up speed.

Same here... sometimes I luck out and get 50kb/s... it goes up and down really. Great system but until they make it intelligent enough to root out the bad seeds and make the most out of your connection it'll remain rather random.

I can get bittorrent running quite fast... I was dling something earlier at 500kb/s roughly.


The question is... is it piracy if I'm downloading a game I already own that the store refuses to replace?

It is extremely hard to find working DLs for anything nowadays...:(
And BitTorrent is very easy.
