Ok, i know they DON'T work against maxes, and i think i've heard they don't work against vehicles, so what the hell is the frickin point of them??? I guess you could use them against turrets, but that's kinda useless. You would have to get pretty close, and it would prolly be easier to just pound the thing with rockets until it splodes.

I bet they disable radar, turrets, mines, nano-dsipensers, medical applicators, REKs, and possibly consoles.

Knocking out deployed sensors, deployed turrets and normal turrets. Theres also some speculation that it knocks out shields and other implant effects for abit.

You could just use a regular grenade. It would destroy the turret, not just disable it.

ok, i kinda get it now. They are basically like a flash bang. They basically disable some of the important squad abilities like healing. This will stop people from sitting there and whorring med kits

NO! Jammers are EMP Grenades. EMP = ElectroMagnetic Pulse. You know, the shockwave a nuclear bomb or a pinch emits, shut down all electric systems within its radius.

i know what they are supposed to be, but i think really, they seem to be a sort of flash bang that prevents people from whorring implants and medkits

The Jammer Nades ARE EMP's as saint said, did you people see The Bond Movie Goldeneye? that's the same idea, it knocks out all electroic cuircits in the blast radious.

the Jammer grenades are gonna Jam and shoot Jam at people so they can't move because they got all the Jam everywhere and then the grenade will start playing music and will jam that way to

I'd imagine that they jam pretty much everything except MAXes and vehicles. That includes those auto-turrets that a nasty little engineer could erect around his position. Jamming turrets will probably be very useful, especially if you consider that grenades usually bounce when thrown against a wall.

Wonder how noticeable jammers are? I'm thinking they'd be good for stealth folks but if its really obvious when they go off then it'd be useless for them. Heck I don't even know if stealth has room to carry them now that I think about it...

I wouldn't be suprized to find that a jammer termporarily shuts down the infiltration suit's cloaking effect. That'd be really handy if you don't have a slot to spare for a darklight implant.
