Tomorrow at 5:30am, I will be waking up and getting ready. I have to get to Manchester for 9am. (2 Hours drive).

This guy is a specialist in adolescent knees. He's going to find out if I need to have surgery on them again. I hope that I do have to have surgery. That way I'm not stuck with this problem for life.
As I said in a different thread; the regular doctor deduced that I had shallow knee holding plate thingys. If this is the case, I can go for surgery to get that increased and I wont dislocate my knees anymore.

If that's the case, I can't wait till I can get back to playing sports. Plus, I don't have to be careful of all these little new kids at school running around and bumping into me. That's how bad my knees are.

Wish me luck :D

Good luck Hezzy

Knee problems suck when you like playing sports or do a lot of running.

Good luck mate.

*wishes he never has knee problems...* I already have enough problems to get in the damn military I don't need another reason for them to boot me out. Hope your not going into sports and/or the army :)

I've just got back. All went well.

For the people who are wondering what's wrong with my knees:

I have abnormal knees. I have a small petella (sp? It's basically kneecap). It's also high riding. And to top it off, the groove it's supposed to sit in is non-existant. This causes my kneecap to be very slack, and easy to move around.

To demonstrate this, put your leg out straight now. Relax your knee. Now push your kneecap out wards gently, until it can't go any further.
Mine goes about an inch out, whereas a normal one shouldn't move more than about 5 cm.

To fix this, the knee specialist said there are 4 different ways to resolve it. He only told me one way, which was to detach my tendon which connects to the patella, and attach it further inwards. This makes the muscle tighter, therefore it shouldn't dislocate. The recovery period of this is about 2-3 months. This is a problem though. I have my GCSE final exams coming up, and I can't afford to lose valuble school time. So, I'm getting the Op done around May or June next year. They're going to see if it works on my left knee first. If it works, they're going to do it on my right knee. If it doesn't, then we're going to try one of the other 3 options available.

Glad to hear all is good.

An inch = 3 cm.
Do you mean a normal one shouldn't go more than .5cm?

Meh.

My friend has a knee problem too. Osgood Schlatters disease? Dunno if they're related, they sound similar.
