Just thought I'd bring this to attention, it's an interesting read.

Almost all of it was new information.

What got me the most is the Wraith, apparently it'll be drivable, boardable, and will have a targeting system kind of like the flail.

Already knew that, I think it was from a gamespy QA thing about a week back.

Explain..

That British convention where they had the game for play?

Ya wow read it almost as soon as it was out...I wonder how they'll make the Wraith boardable, as the cockpit is armored and closed. Might look weird to see a Spartan jump on the tank and knock away at the door.

Two things that caught my attention were the Guass Hog and the new health system. I musta missed something in the past couple months, but what is the Gauss Hog? And the health system, shields recharge faster (and I think are a tad stronger) but no health meter, just a couple of hits without the shield = death? Well, we'll see how this works out...

Basically a Warthog with a Railgun on the back. Can be seen in action in the Singleplayer E3 demo from 2003. It's the one the Chief guns for.

Oh, that's what it is. Thought the one in the E3 demo from 2003 was a shotgun of some sort.

railguns don't make scence for that application it better be a coil gun in the fiction

EarlyDawn

Well, it's technically a Gauss cannon, which implies a traditional propellant combined with magnetic acceleration.

On the topic of the Gauss hog. Is it me or will there be balance issues with it? I mean, from the trailer, the actual projectiles are supar fast (well, it's a Gauss), and can take a Phantom (new Covenant dropship) in three or four shots. Plus, it's got a fast rate of fire. I honestly can't see any drawbacks. Maybe they'll make the speed/movement of the actual hog slower, or maybe limited ammo.

Frag: Damn you, damn you to goddamn hell. Damn. What map you'd play? I'm assuming Zanzibar?
And, if you got the chance, what's the Battle Rifle like, it's been a question plaguing my mind for a while.

thank goodness its coming out early november.

I haven't played it, obviously, but the impression I get is that the Battle Rifle is the old pistol. Prehaps just a little less powerful per hit.

Works well for them. They can claim that they've done away with the pistol-centric combat from the first, and still appease those who want it.

Yeah, Frankie himself described it as "a faster, weaker pistol". The M6D was a monster in H1, I'm glad they've evaluated it to rifle-sized proportions.
And plus, thankfully, the pistol rumors have come to an end.

Damn i liked the health meter, i hope you'll still have a small chance and wont loose your life as fast as you did in the first one with shields down.

well take example when you had only one block left and your shields went down, i hope when he says a few shots dont mean like 3 and your dead.

4-players online with one xbox looks really fun for me, oh and the stat tracker with have a bucnh of little fun statistics like how many times you got ran over by a warthog to melee kills and stuff like that.

I hope the health system is the same as the first Halo. not too realistic, but you cant take that much of a beating before dying.

I hate the new health system. I saw absolutely no wrong with the first one...but, the aforementioned FAQ did mention a buffed shield on the MJOLNIR Mk VI that probably compensates for the lack of health monitoring.

I know a guy from a Halo community I go to who played H2 (supposedly...seemed real to me). He says it's a really good game, but the only bad thing is that, with dual wielding, the gunfights last only like three seconds now.

One reason for keeping the old health system, longer fights.

Yes but mind you he's wearing like bullet proof armor (i dunno bout lazers)
