The difference in the workload between Sophmore and Junior year is huge, every night is action packed with homework!

You should take the papers, and eat them while standing in front of your teachers.

Yea, that one is tougher then the 9th and 10th grade but do well in your Junior year and your Senior year should be a breeze. Note I say *should.*

It's a shame that public high schools don't offer anything in the way of building things. I've always wanted to know how locks work, how to pick them, how modern small weapons (knives, pistols) are designed, etc. Hell, learning all the details of how a light works would be good.

My school has vocational programs you can sign up for as an elective where you can learn about... well everything you need to know about plumbing etc. All the redneck kids go there as well. Rednecks are pretty amazing people, they somehow know everything and yet know nothing. They also always win any argument since they just because all there comments are so stupid that you loose your will to argue.

Dearborn High School - Tech Systems

Best Fuckin Class Ever. Why?

1. Little homework
2. What homework we get is fun and easy (usually just finding something from www.howstuffworks.com (http://www.howstuffworks.com/), and printing it out).
3. We did some stuff similar to what Duck wants (lasers + laser security grids [we made one and had to get through it], maglev, energy, flight sim, airplanes [we made a bunch of em and attempted to fly them outside], why connecting two live leads together is a bad idea [live test :E], and a bunch of other stuff)
4. EVERYBODY GETS AN A IF YOU'RE NOT STUPID!

Based on the following scale (as I'm a junior as well):

0: (Effortless As) You literally eat shit, i.e. Computer Science or Phys Ed
1: (Some-effort As) Easy A. Just look over the chapter the night before an exam.
2: (Effort required) Just keep up, study for the tests, and you'll do well.
3: (Medium difficulty) The standard class
4: (Hard) Work-intensive, and even then, work does not guarantee success as in lesser classes, i.e. Spanish/Foriegn Language VI, or just plain hard
5: (Hard as Hell) Go ahead, study. Like it makes a difference, anyway.
6: (Anal violation) Rape in a dark alley. Drop out to avoid a D on your report card.

Honors Physics: 5 (Physics problems are like putting together a jigsaw puzzle with all-white pieces)

Honors British Literature: 3

US Government: 4 (Esp. because the teacher does not offer partial credit. If he asks for 7 characteristics, and you list 6, it's all wrong)

Art History: 3

Economics (Mon-Wed) 3, Catholic Social Doctrine (i.e. The Communist Manifesto) (other days) (4)

Pre-Calculus: 6 (Finishing the tests? HA! So, not only did you answer just 7 questions out of ten, three are wrong! 40!!! F!!! The bitch literally gives us the hardest problems possible when compared with the homework problems. You may as well skip the fluffy problems in front of a set and just do the last three or four.)

Honors Chemistry: 4 (I'm being lulled into a false sense of security. Just because I'm wtfpwning it doesn't mean it gets harder later.)

This gives us an average of 4. Last year was a lot easier.

My classes are as follows

Band- get an A if your not a dumb-fuck

US history - hard for most peopl but not me i'll get an A or B at normal pointage, other than vile worksheets that make you read the chapter

Physics 1 Honors - cake for me easy 5 point A, hard as hell for eveyone else, read my blog for a rant about it.

English 10 - great teacher, jsut vocab basicaly, and he basicaly cheats for you on the tstes with his sentences(6point font speel sheet helps too...) easy regular A

Computer Science AP - Farily easy 5 point A, the only part i have is when we get some real hard logis to work out ie: making a palindrome out of "A man, a plan, a canal, Panama" wichs is a palindorme but isn't when you add in the punctualtion, it ends up coming out(correctly) as "A man, a plan, a canal, PanamanaP ,lanac a ,nalp a ,nam A"

Jazz Band (lower) - easy regular A, just play and not be a dumb fuck as in reg band

Pre-Calc Honors - will be a 4 point B or perhaps a 5 point a, i'm not so sure yet, teacher is not uber boing liek my Alg 2 teacher was, and she explins stuff very well. But i have a habit of making stupid mistakes on mathtests liek droping a '-' someware along the lines.

last year i killed my 4.1(3.85 durrently) this year i'm hopefully getting it back

college is like this:

you have a lot of free time, but you never use it for studying or schoolwork unless you feel like you're up against a fucking wall. less workload, but it feels like more because the work requires more skill/thought/attention... and there's more freedom to acquire more responsibilities. more free time to do harder work that takes less time.

it's harder because you have to make an effort, it's easier because you don't have as much busy work and shit like that to do.

it's weird. it's its own little world, college is.

6. physics- again seems easy, not sure yet
7. trig- " "

Actually its easier this year for me then last year. Im a junior btw

Intergrated math-I slept thru algerbra 3/4 times and passed on the 4th time but they think its cause I suck at math. This class is like OMG EASY!!! Its 7th grade math bascily

Biology-Failed lasy year but this year different teach who I actually like so ill pass

MIT-I dunno, Im supposed to do work but if you dont you still pass. We usally bring in dvds and watch them and he doesn't seem to care

US Lit-Only hard class, already had to write a 5 page paper on Indian Mythology. Cool teacher tho

Sports Med-Easy class with a hot 20 sumtin year old girl :drools: So hot and so fun. He get to do CPR and I might have problems with it and have to *practice* after school :brow:

Later in the year got some cooking classes, botany, history, Geometry and Geology.

Here's mine:

Even days-

History- Oh my god, so easy. You'd have to be dumber than shit not to make off with an A. My favorite class, my specialty.

Spanish- meh, it's a bit of work, but not much. Fun class, the teacher's a cool guy.

Algebra- Sin. Sin! It's really easy, but the teacher is a dumb bitch. I mean she insists that I write down all of the notes, despite that I took the class last year. I mean today she made us write down the property about how you gotta do stuff to both sides of an equation. I just did super-short hand and sat there. She said I had to write down all of these 2 sentences for each process (+-*/) that are basically the same with some different words for each process. I write down "you do it to both sides" in the side. She says that's not good enough. She tells me to write it out and and I flip her off as she walks over to piss off someone else. This class has only one redeeming quality, and that's the teacher's aide, who's this hot senior softball player.

Gym- So easy. I'm not athletic at all, I mean not overweight, just not an athlete, you know? I have a 99, that's how easy it is.

Odd days-

Band- My other favorite class, this one is a lot of fun. Evans pushes us hard, but it's still good.

Literature- This sucks. The teacher's nice, it's just the subject that sucks.

Biology- a good class, I like it.

Debate- It's not that I don't like it, but half the time I have no clue what I'm doing.

I'm taking Junior year this year as well, but I only have two AP classes. If I hadn't had a scheduling conflict I would have had three AP classes... pisses me off as well since Junior year is so important.

But basically:

- German 3
- US History 2 AP
- Computer Programming 2 AP
- Survey of British Literature Honors
- Precalculus Honors
- Phys Ed
- Anthropology (Had to take this instead of Statistics AP... pretty pissed off about that)
- Physics Honors

Hopefully, by the end of high school, I should have these AP courses:
- US History 2 AP
- Computer Programming 2 AP
- Physics 2 AP
- Biology or Chemistry 2 AP (I'm debating on whether or not to do this)
- English AP (Once again, debating)
- Statistics AP
- Calculus AP

So 6 AP courses, assuming I take all of them. Not as many as I had originally hoped for...

Meh, I take a 10th grade curriculum at my Middle School, giving me:

Geometry
Language Arts (Lit/English)
Biology
American History (Boring as fuck (Is that boring?)).
Spanish
And a shit load (5) electives (PE, Comp., Art and SR).

Last year, I got...

*Does some math*

Eh, I dunno, whatever an A- average is.

My junior year was easy because it did exist, nor did my senior year.

Drop out after 10th for teh win! I left school, attempted to do home school to finish faster, but being the lazy ass I am I finished 4 of the 14 classes I needed to get a diploma. I could have gotten a diploma sooner than my friends if I wasn't so lazy.

So I got a job then ended up getting a GED a year later.

Hell ya baby!

I have a decent job. Nothing great, working with printers and copiers of different companies. Like University of Pittsburgh, Duquesne University, UPCI(University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute), Koppel Steel(Steel Mill), Penreco(Oil refinery plant), S.W. Jack Drilling(natural gas drilling), then the smaller local businesses.

I'm like the only freshman here.....i feel young.....

School's easy, usually finish homework in class, if not then i do in study skills (u get help with homework). Course on top of that I got football (which equals my life now, considering i'm one of the better freshman lineman)...and today i forgot my armgaurds so i got 3 giant lumps on my arm.

Sad thing is i'm at school for like 11 hours, and i only got about 4 hours of freetime at home....and during that free time my mom is usually on the computer or a day like today, my grandpa is watching tv (mondaynight football), so my freetime usually consists of reading or housework (firewood). And now i might (MIGHT) get a g/f (tis been a year of being single), there goes the rest of my freetime.

freetime=3 minutes.....the 3 minutes i spend to make my bed to sleep in.....

Bah

Don't worry, Bugger. I'm a freshman too. But in college :p

I went to a college prep school, so I'm not having as much difficulty. But still, enjoy high school while you can, kiddies. 20 page papers for college-level Philosophy isn't anything to sneeze at. But then again, it's nothing to be too worried about it either. Write 5 pages a day, spend a day revising, turn it in, close the books, go to a party, grab a drink, and enjoy the weekend. That's college for you.

I haven't had any real big problems yet, but it is only the second week. I can see where problem area are gonna form though.

AP Physics and Chemistry - These are rather easy for AP courses and don't bother me in the least...

Hon. Calc - Ugh... the teacher just rambles on and on about nothing in particular relating to calculus... maybe every 5th word he says will have something remotely important to the class involved... the man was drawing fucking flowers on the chalkboard to show us the laws of arithmatic and geometric progression.

Hon. Span. III - meh... could be worse...

AP US History - This class really annoys me... the subject is easy but the teacher makes it a lot harder then it has to be... I know its AP and all, but she makes it ridiculous... we had a test yesterday, told us we can get all of the terms out of our tex book, didn't quite work out that way.

Theology III - I love being called "Foolish, stupid and ignorant" because of my sexual orientation.

Comp. Prog. - Basically I needed a course to fill my roster, I chose this... /slitwrist

Hon. Trig. - Don't have it until second semester.
