New Forum Idea: Bone Closet

Lately, i've seen a huge influx of BC Matierial. Plenty of other forums i visit have "Bone Closets" which are forums to discuss the following issues, including, but not limited to:

* Relationships

* Health matters

* Social interaction issues

* Sex

* Weight Loss

* Bodybuilding

The forum is intended to be a mature discussion of very sensitive issues and ideas and as such, a measure of decorum is expected. I want to stress the fact that this is not The Lounge and more stringent expectations apply.

Rules:

Insensitive remarks or replies will not be tolerated.

Spamming threads with single smileys is unacceptable.

Spamming threads with nonsese or the like is not going to be tolerated.

All sparring and issues should be taken OUT of the Bone Closet, please refrain from derailing threads in order to vent your own off topic ideas.

Threads will be locked and moved at the sole discression of the BCM (Bone Closet Moderator)

If you have nothing worthwhile to contribute, please don't.

This forum is intended to open a door for everyone to honestly convey thoughts, feelings, questions and concerns.

Even though this is a mature forum, please stay within the realm of the rules. Any threads branching outside the spectrum of the Bone Closet (including work-related threads) will be moved.

Please keep all of these things in mind as you read and reply to threads. Everyone has a right to post in this forum, and unless you want that right stripped from you, I strongly suggest you respect the right of others first.

Those would be my rules (slightly modified from another BC).

The BC i visit is very succesful. The BC is heavily moderated, but with the right person(s) doing a job i think the forum could be very succesful. Also, as an alternative to creating an enitrely new forum, i think it'd be better if the BC was a sub-forum to the lounge. What do you guys think?

If this idea does take off, and the big-wig's think it's a good idea, i'd be willing to moderate along-side a female moderator. That's usually how BC's work. So you can have a male moderator and a female moderator. (Triggar would pwn at this)

1. The whole purpose of the forum is so you can ask a bunch of people at once, instead of pulling aside different friends. Besides, it spawns some great discussions.

2. If anyone uses a forum to brag about being around girls, i really pity them :(

i think it's a good idea mostly because it seems like the lounge isn't always the place to post stuff like that.

btw, I Hate Pants, i post stuff like that here because there's a lot of minds on this site that may be able to think more logically than i at certain times. i usually cunsult my friends on matters like those, but it doesn't help to have the advice of people on the forums. plus, regardless of whether i've met any of you or not, i still feel pretty close to a lot of you because we've had close discussions like the ones that regard relationships and loss of friends/family and things of that nature.

Have you guys ever heard of Answerology (www.answerology.com)? I imagine this idea of a new forum to be a bit like that. You submit a question, and it gets sent to other members, and answered by the kind of people you asked it to be answered by (i.e. a woman asking a "jock", a "businessman", a "father", etc).

I think the forums would be a good idea, but how can you prevent someone from getting flamed in the lounge for something they said in the Bone Closet? I imagine Dharkie would abuse that constantly :love:

Yes, that would be awesome! There have been so many times that I've asked the TR and VS for help with my love-life. They would rather just run over me with their Magmowers and Mauraders as I stand spamming questions. I sometimes continue to talk to them as they ride away laughing. But my efforts are futile.

Since I have nobody to talk to in real life, PlanetSide is my only outlet. Simply no one cares, they just toss me aside like an armed grenade. I need love though, or one day I could explode like that little grenade tossed aside. Poor, poor little grenade; won't someone replace your pin?

Only if the girl I am pursuing played PlanetSide. We could go on virtual dates in the caverns and watch the energy beams pulse with magic. No, because I took control of the matter. I decided to start my own blog. Yes, the new oxymoronic way where everyone can uniquely express themselves. No longer am I seeking people to for advise, people seek me for questions. This outlet affords me to share with people the songs I write for this girl and the telephoto pictures I take of her. All with a reasonable amount of anonymity.

It's a double-edged sword, the Bone Closet is still needed. Because I can't tell her I have a blog about her if I am anonymous. Doing that would compromise my anonymity. Somehow it would be nice if she discovered on her own I have a blog. Then she would think I'm cool.
