Ok, yesterday I bought the Sims 2 and Rome: Total War. Here's the problem
NEITHER OF THEM INSTALL
For Rome Total War, it gets about 10% of the way into the installation, then says it has an error reading a file "Voice1.dat" or something. I hit retry but it just basically freezes the installation.
For the Sims 2, when I get to the 3rd disk, it says "Insert Disk 3." I put in the disk, and hit ok, but the computer doesn't recognize that its the right disc!!!11
someone plz help me, Ive been waiting for these 2 games for over a year...

As I said in AIM, one would be understandable and I'd tell you to return it... but two is a bit weird... If the CDs aren't scratched... then I don't know, Unless your CD drive is borked, but if it is borked why would the first two CDs work?

I had a problem installing the Sims at first, it kept giving me that "error reading somethingsomething.rar" or something like that. I closed down the installation and restart my computer, the most basic of remedies. Then I shut down all non-essential programs and tried the installation again. It worked.
Good luck. If it keeps up, I'll ask Tech Support (aka the guy I date) what he thinks :p

Okay seriously, this whole "Mac" thing of yours is old, boring, not funny, and annoying. Please find something else to talk about in each one of your posts, preferably something different each time. Plzkkthx.

I have a friend in real life who's a Mac user. He does this all the time.

Are you trying to get yourself banned? If so, why don't you just not come onto the forums anymore?

Take the Sims 2 back to where you got it from and exchange it for the 1 Disc DVD version.

Stop it Raiden, you're putting me off from installing (or attempting) Rome: Total War. I knew I should have downloaded it.

If you bought them legally and they won't install, wouldn't it be ethically acceptable to d/l it?

Just swap it out for the DVD version it will work better that way. Drive to the place you got it, swap it out. Get a fully working version and save your self 20 hours.
