Just to drive the point further (notice how the pixelate the older ones but look at Malcom in Unreal Warfare 3  )

If those fabric wrinkles change in real-time, computers everywhere will EXPLODE.

Well. If it's rendered on the fly, it will. I dunno how a script would handle it...

wow, but malcom looses his Malcom X look with this new rendition.

The first two look like ingame shots, poorly taken ones at that, while the last, with the unreal 3 engine, appears to be a render. Dosn't seem like a good comparison. Of course, 3 is going to blow the other two away regardless. :D

Damn, I remember almost 4 years ago thinking graphics could never get better than HL. And now look at what we have, it almost brings a tear to my eye.

wow, but malcom looses his Malcom X look with this new rendition.

He looks older in 3. His face sorta filled out, and he ditched the shades.

After playing doom3 i can safelt say that anything is possible graphics wise.

Check out the AA between the armoured breast plate and his neck, a dead give away to a 3d model.
Surely if it were rendered this would be smoothed considerably?

I would think that the third image has been touched up, but might possibly be an actual model after reviewing the new unreal engine.

One day we wont be able to tell the difference.

3 probably took a few days to render by a supercomputer.
