You're over Miami in a Liberator. martyr is teaching you to fly, he's in the bomber position. You are chugging along happily at 80 KPH until, surely enough, I hit you with a Phoenix. Twice. martyr is critically injured by a fragment and needs to get to the Med Terminal to the north, because you are an idiot and went for Engineering instead of Medical.
He can no longer tell you where to go. Furthermore, the faulty HUD only displays which way the nose is pointing, not which way the aircraft is going, because the second Phoenix knocked out the computer.
There is a Medical Station, as I said, to the north, about two dozen minutes away. However, you're over Florida. Sure enough, Hurricane Aztec begins to come in. The winds increase to a strong 48 KPH blowing from W to E.
What direction should you point in to go north? (On the 0 to 360 scale).
HINT: The winds and the north direction form a 90 degree angle. Your direction, the winds, and the north direction form a triangle. Do you know trigonometry, or are you doomed to succumb to the wrath of the hurricane?

Let martyr die and pick him up at the nearest AMS?

Grab E6B
Enter wind speed
Enter wind direction
Enter true course
Result: Heading

0.....i dunno how to put the question together but the easy way to get out of it is to say that you didn't state what the liberator can take, and in game during big heavy sandstorms or just stomrs in general, the liberator has never gotten knocked off course. Therefore you can fly through directly to the med station and not get hurt by any rain.
And now i'm going to take a stab at this (if i'm right) i need the weight of the Liberator?
yell at me, i'm in algebra1.

I can't be bothered to make it into degrees, but wouldnt it be around 10 o'clock?

0 degrees = east
90 = north
180 = west
270 = south
\
..\
....\ H
..***966;..\....***920;
_____\________________
X
***966; is your angle north of west
***920; is your angle north of east
H = 80
|X| = 48 ... this is to counter the crosswind
cos( ***966; ) = adjacent/hypotenuse = X/H
cos( ***966; ) = 48/80 = 0.6
***966; = arccos(0.6)
***966; = 53.130102354156
***920; = 180 - ***966;
***920; = 180 - 53.130102354156
***920; = 126.869897645844 degrees
***920; = approximately 126 degrees 52' 12''
That should put you on a course straight North. Don't you die, Martyr! Live, damn you! LIVE!

You're in a Liberator. You are chugging along happily at 80 KPH. you need to get to the North
The faulty HUD only displays which way the nose is pointing, not which way the aircraft is going.
You need to go north for 24 min.
The winds increase to a strong 48 KPH blowing from W to E.
What direction should you point in to go north?
What we know:-
Your speed - 80 KM/H
Cross wind (west to east) speed - 48 KM/H
Travil time - 24 min
What we need to find out:-
Distance
angle of attack to the cross wind
ANGLE
North-West-North, 315 degres
DISTANCE
Speed (KM/H) = distance (KM) / time (Hours)
=
distance = speed * time
distance = 80 * 0.4 (24 min / 1 hour(60 min))
= 32 KM

Accelerate into a tree, destroying the liberator and causing forced respawn at the sanctuary.

Alt +G
Then promptly stab you in the face for killing martyr with my shiney chainblade^^
Since a lib is a vtol aircraft, simply hover, open cockpit, stick finger outside.
Since winds are blowing towards the west from the east, that should give you a damn fine prospect on where north is.

Trick question, you'd never hit a Lib with a Pheonix.

The answer is either 42, or:
Sin (angle you need) = (velocity of air)/(velocity of plane to air)
(angle) = sin^-1 48/80
(angle) = 36.87 degrees from North
You'll be going slow as hell, though.
Now, to put that in the proper azimuth measure (0N, 90E, 180S, 270W) you have to subtract the answer from 360:
360 - 36.87 = 323.13
Hazzer and Giga share first place, because they are both reasonably close, and would probably get them there in time. Triggar gets second because she hacks with that TI-83 on steroids. Incom gets third...while his idea (you can't hit a Lib with a Phoenix) shows promise, I didn't mention that you were at treetop level.
Honorable Mention to martyr and Rob, who probably knew it, but didn't answer.
The rest of you are sucked into Hurricane Aztec and die in a whirilwind as the Category 5 storm overpowers your 80 KPH engines.
