So i was sitting at my computer pondering what to do. And i see my grandfathers old match bowl. He had it for smoking but gave it up. He didnt know what to do with em, so he said he and I will take all of them and burn them at once. Well, he's not around anymore (:() so i thought i'd do what he wanted to do with em when he gave up smoking, and make a huge match pile. So i did, and i took pics.

If you watch it frame by frame, you'll see there was a huge fireball (singed my arm hair off) and then it died down quickly. Was pretty fucking cool.

Nice one, next tiem you have a large suply of Matches, cut off all the heads and stuff them inside a tennis ball, pack em tight. Then close the gap, duct tape or what ever, and slam it against a hard surface.

I did that in science once, about 40 matches (full box). Fair sized fireball aye, if you think that's a lot of smoke - phear the giant cloud you get when you throw a lighter against a hard surface that'll make sparks (gravel).

Next time use Hexane (god bless Chemistry, you burn stuff and it's LEARNING!)

I got a ton of fireworks from some kid earlier in the summer. after using about half of them, I just lit the bag itself on fire in my backyard. the resulting inferno launched 30 bottle rockets, 10 of which hit my house (one narrowly missing my cat lounging by the pool :p ) and set off about 5 smoke bombs along with alot of other assorted crap. it was truly spectacular.

well, we took a bunch (i suggest starting with only a few, <100) sparklers and bound them together with wire & duct tape. don't use the metal-rod type, get the wood ones.

tie them into a tight cylendar and stand them upright; wedge one more sparkler into the center for a fuse. i have to reiterate that this video is a fizzle and is unusual in its lack of diameter of flame. we've had one guy nearly enveloped (he wasn't hurt).

i'll try to find a normal detonation for ya
