Your desired role?

I always play medic/cleric's in RPG stly game and really enjoy them... but i dont think an an FPS I would enjoy it as much as flying :D

The problem with your poll is that the specification of a character decreases with rank. Supposedly, towards battle rank 20, a character can be a standard infantryman, an engineer, a medic and a hacker.

In other words, down the line, it'll narrow down to a vehicle guy, a stealth guy, an infantryman, and a MAX pilot, and mixes between these general groups.

I'm betting at the beginning there will be only a few pure infantrymen, who will simply cream other low battle rank players with a variety of weaponry.

After that, people who play medic/engineer/hacker will realize that unless they are doing a stealth version of that role, they need to be infantrymen also (along with their abilities).

well, i said pilot since i plan on going for the reaver/galaxy right off then get as many tanks as possible.... So in the end I am going to use more certs on tanks, but my 1st obj is going to be going towards pilot...

I want to be a tank driver too. Since I couldn't mark both tank driver and MAX, I chose MAX. I'll have to see which one I like better.

I love the Engineer role because I like being devious and setting up traps for my hapless enemies to stumble upon. My comp is my hobby and I'm always tinkering with it, swaping parts, changing out drives, adding new stuff, so the repair/fixing part of the engineer goes great with me. Besides support is the backbone of any military. So here's a shout to all of you people who are going for the support roles and or the mixes of, like engineer/grunt.

Just know you can't do that with an infiltration suit, as the infiltration suit has no rifle slot.

why is that diego? you are given 4 character slots so you can build up 4 different characters that can help out your outfit at different times, and for different reasons.

I had originally planned on going recon/hacker... but it looks like 90% of the people in my outfit so far are going to want to do just that, so I'll end up going pilot or infantry, whatever best suits the outfit.

I'm one of those people that has to do everything in a game to have fun.. so i'll have numerous characters for sure

ey congrats to those who picked out the standard infantry!
Those are the ones you'll need 5 times as much as a hacker AT LEAST and 10 times more then a pilot, pilots think a bit to large i guess, you guys really think you'll be having the luck to transport guys to the middle of battle every second? NOT! The standard infantry doesn't have to wait, can easily defend the base, MUST escort a hacker to other facilities, ETC!
Standard infantry, that's what i choose!
Dont forget an infiltration team would be about
6 soldiers, 2 hackers possibly a medic and maybe
a MAX just for confusion i guess!

lol its funny, medics are so underrated, ppl think they only need 1 or 2 medics per squad, I mean get a medic/infantry guy to help also, what if ur one medic dies?
then U will need a medic to heal him and you are 2 again. I think u will need about 4 in a squad, considering playing RtCW, where u will have about 60 percent of your people in your team being medics, this will take MUCH MUCH MORE time to respawn, you will need medics in the heat of the battle to heal ur team.
