I'm going to have to say the two one-manned tanks, anyone versed in strategy knows that a force that can outflank will win hands down every time, provided the players are of equal skill.

It depends on the experience of the 2 man tank compared to the 1 man tank. A 2 mans take exp. averaged between the two will win if it is above thee 1 man tank...IE---
2 man tank : Newblet, Hardcore player
1 man tank: Hardcore
-----------------------------------------
1 man tank wins, he has more experienced then the everage of hardcore and newblet (around a single casual player) and the newblet would hinder the hardcore player's game...
....Ok ok i know its a really technical mathmatical way to think that crap out but...im bored and im right....i know i am...

A 2 tanks require training and more experience , like Mikedead says . Anyway , if 2 experienced users use a A 2 tank , they will beat withouth problem a 1 man tank :p

alright, another question to answer this one: which is better in Halo: the warthog, or the ghost?

with 1000s of people around you can find someone to hop in you gun that does not have the cert to drive it, or there are no more around to drive, and a 2 man tank will get the best of a 1 man tank if they are all same skill =P
Now, of course you want as many tanks as possible on the field =P

any group will overpower anything. also it would be very har to hit anything when your the second gun.

There is no way the 2 manned tank would win that in an equal battle...

Two man tank all the way, if you put a Vanguard or Prowler vs a pair of lightnings, the lightnings are dead meat. You can easily cut the enemies firepower in half. They would have to have you down to 1/4 health before you killed the first one, to have a chance that is. Not to mention their aggregate armor is most likely much lower as well. It's like Shermans vs Tigers, you need a hoard to have any chance of success.
I think I speak for my manlove compatriots when I say: Whats wrong with cramping more than 1 guy into a small space?

I think it depends on how much health each has and how much damage their shots do to each other. If a lightning had half the health and did half the damage of, for example, a vanguard...then the lightnings would win because of the fact that two targets are a lot more difficult to hit than one. RoF on the tank guns would probably play a pretty big role too, not to mention the positions of the tanks at the start of the fight.

I'd have to say the ghost is better because it's bullets stun you so you can't move. It's also better because it floats and can strafe.
The one manned tank in any situation, if the players are equally skilled, has the advantage. If you destroy the two man tank you get twice the kills.
It would be much better if the two people in the same tank would get in seperate one man tanks. I think it would be much more effective.
