Increase your computers performance by knowing how to modify your Services! Windows runs so much crap that you don't always need. This guy tells you (in small words with pictures for people like me!) how to do this.

Hmm. Anyone else tried this? I'm a little to lazy to take the initiative and be first to test it.

I was going to look, but I figure someone is plugging thier own website with crummy XP tweaks, in the wrong forum.

OF N i've had this sight bookmarked forever, and basicaly all that happens is his tweaks make windows use less memory.
I find it doesn't make much of a differecne to me, but i have alot of ram, and it's preaty fast.

Rbstr is right, most of the tweaks on there are just removing windows services that take up extra RAM. Back when I had 256 meg of PC2100 it was helpful to be sure, made things run smoother. But now I have a gig of Kingston HyperX PC3500 and those tweaks aren't entirely helpful.
HOWEVER. Here's a nice little list of tweaks that can benefit most systems.
