! CR5 aquisition !

A great enhancement and encouragment to leading squads, platoons and the aquisition of CR5, would be to get 1 extra implant slot: enabling 4 implants in total ! :cool:

Precicely the problem with CR5 is that people only want it for the backpack and OS. Then they realize they can spam global like a dipshit. What CR5 needs (and it has been said before) are enhancements that deal with leadership directly. The only incentives for it need to be of the leadership nature

You hit it on the mark right there. I wouldn't be a CR5 right now if my oufit didn't want me to be one. They were behind me 100% in my quest and now I have the privilege of representing them before the CR5s and the Empire.

also, i don't consider CR5 as the last thing you can get...
i consider it my ticket to killwhore. i've never certed in HA or ... well, anything besides MA, since i was leading squads and acting support roles (15 points dedicated to equipment certs, 5 more for support vehs)

so now that i'm not leading... it's time to pass 5k kills

I doubt that would happen, however if it did then I'd probably forgo the OS. I know that sounds weird but I rarely use it.

As far as your killwhoring goes Martyr, I'm there with you, however my outfit has required certs so it doesn't leave much room for more than my Sweeper. I've considered dropping AV and CE for Lasher, however I'm loathe to resort to HA.

yeah. i've OS access for ten months now, and i know i haven't fired the thing more than a dozen times.

i wouldn't give it up for an implant, though.
if i can OS that last ams and turn the tide on an attack, i'll deal with getting killed a few extra times

as far as the killwhoring goes... i i'm looking at HA and unimax.
i have a new respect for the lasher after playing TR for a night on markov.
the guy i squadded with was so entertained by my surprise that he actually quoted me over global as saying "hfs, the lasher is dangerous"

OK a rehashing of the implant at cr5 idea then ! how about this, br21 is able to be aquired once cr5 is reached, but this takes as long a time to get as cr5 does to get going from cr3 to cr5. This ought to get the leaders among us back in the field!

I don't think you get the point. Putting any kind of rewards in CR that should be in BR would further promote losers going for CR.

If the only benefits to CR were communications, PS would probably be better.

I do get your point, totally agree and see where you are coming from. With global spamming being a major problem and people just after the CR5 rank to get a (Kewl) :( new weapon ( the OS ). However this was not what I was attempting to address. My only objective was to add more length of interest to the structure. I belive that we do need some sort of communication upgrade to get people talking about useful and related information, and not "just going to have a crap" or "I hate that noOb, he's so gay".

There appears to be a number of complaints about too many idiots with the CR5 rank. I am sure that this will not change the fact that they are the way they are however, it may distract them a bit !

OK here goes !


Once CR5 is reached a new BR rating is able to be aquired. The new BR21 can only be got this way, and will take as long to get as going from CR3 to CR5, so it won't be easy! However once BR21 is aquired then you would get the bonus of, ...... wait for it ........ wait for it ........ ok ready yet ....... you will get 1 extra implant and, not 1 but 2 extra cert points !

All this would get the leaders back in the field and give 4 implants and a grand total of 25 cert points to be aquired.

There unfortunately must be a down side to the gain of the extra implant and 2 more cert points, apart from the length of time that it will take to get!

1) The forth implant slot may only be used by one that drains stamina.

2) Your Orbital Strike is reduced in strength and size to be, less than current CR5, but greater than the CR4 OS.

I was useing the CR3 to CR5 really only as an example and ought to have said so (sorry). I was trying to get a time scale to it !
My plan was for it to be be based on Bxp and and not Cxp all along. The idea of making it so you had to reach CR5 first was simply part of the game extention plan. If you don't like it then thats fair enough!
