You could make Planetside much easier to understand for new players and provide good documentation for experienced players, by installing the (free) software of Wikipedia.org on your site for us. With the help of that the planetside-community could improve the Planetside-documentation a lot. Imagine an encyclopedia like http://wikipedia.org , but about PlanetSide! Of course this should not replace any forums, but it would be a great supplement.

The idea is to have really detailed informationen, which would not be tolerated by the Wikipedia-community, because it is to detailed for a general purpose encyclopia. E. g. there would be an entry "Sniping" with hints on planetside-sniping and links to forum posts and websites about that topic.

Other possible articles:
- "Irish Renegades (Outfit)"
- "Commands ranks"
- "Orbital strike"
- "EMP"
- "BFR"

... well one can find info about this on other places, but I feel that we are lacking a central repository for all that. I think the Planetside universe is complex enough to make its own encyclopedia very useful.

You can get the software from http://wikipedia.sourceforge.net

wiki is a fascination phenomenon, and i think planetside might be an ideal application for it; it would need some serious moderation though

Wikis are great, we use them on the games I work with and have seen nothing but positive results. We also use them a lot within the college environment, for example, our Linux User Group's Wiki (http://lnx101.parl.clemson.edu/) which is a Mediawiki.
