Intoxicated Norwegian storms cockpit
A highly intoxicated man on board a charter flight from Trondheim to the Canary Islands forced an emergency landing in France late Sunday. He tried to break into the cockpit after flight attendants refused to give him any more drinks.
More than 200 others Norwegians were on board the Spanair flight, which took off from Trondheim's airport at Vrnes at 6:30pm.

One passenger told newspaper VG that the intoxicated man, believed to be in his 40s, first started harassing the cabin crew when they refused to serve him more alcohol.

Suddenly, the drunk jumped out of his seat and ran towards the aircraft's cockpit. He didn't manage to break in, but the incident prompted the captain to seek an emergency landing to get rid of the unruly passenger.

The plane gained permission to land at Nantes in France, where a large number of local police came into the aircraft and arrested the man.

An emergency landing can cost up to NOK 100,000 (about USD 14,000), and the man likely will be hit with a reimbursement claim when he sobers up. He also faces stiff fines or a prison term for threatening the security of a flight.

His fellow passengers faced major delays, as the Spanair captain was still being questioned by police around midnight.

I can just see our Trig getting cockpit-rushed. She'd blow that bastard back to Chinatown with her little Walther.

I wouldn't make an emergency landing, I would just open a hatch mid-flight and kick the offender off the plane and into the sea.

Without a parachute.

No, I'd be wicked cool about it.

I'd have the flight crew sit on the motherfucker.

Then I'd land the plane and get everyone else off.

Then I'd look him in the eye, smack him in the face all Euro-like, and then say, "TAKE HIM AWAY!"

If he was an actual terrorist threat to my plane, I'd have the Air Marshals do their job while I did mine.

When I worked for Boeing we couldn't call it a cockpit, we had to say flight deck.

If it happened on my plane, and I was captain, I'd invite the rascal to sit on my lap, and I'd share my drink with him.

They try and get us to say "flight deck" here at Riddle, but come on. We all know that pilots go into the biz so that they can use the word "cock" on a regular basis. Don't take the fun out of it for us.

if I wanted to say "cock" on a regular basis in my workplace, I'd just say "cock." no need to disguise in larger words derived from "cock."

BTW, Caulk is pronouced Cock, not Colk
Fools, just because there may be a word that's apparently "bad" doesn't mean the entire language has to be raped
/me points to the word niggardly

  there was a huge debate about "niggardly" in my state when some teacher gave it as a vocabulary word to a bunch of 3rd graders.

Pssh. And miss all the fun? I always figured you'd give him such a beating that his grandkids would feel it. I'd pay extra to be on that flight.
