After the change from PSU 2.0 to 3.0, some people's "transparent" sigs with the olive drab background now stand out like a sore thumb. Here is how to convert your beloved sig.
1. Open up MS Paint.
2. Go to a page on PSU with your sig with your browser.
3. Scroll down to your sig and hit Print Screen.
4. Press CTRL-V in paint. The website should appear.
5. Using the box tool, form a box around your signature- get it as close as possible, within one pixel, but get some of the grey in there as well.
6. Using the tube-thingy, select some of the grey area and then select the paintbucket. Apply in the olive areas.
7. Unfortunately, you now have to save as a .png. Do so, ImageShack will host .pngs and the forum will take them. There should be no discoloration. Previously you could save as a .gif, but the new background discolors the entire image if you save as a .gif, so DON'T DO IT.

o_O
your color is still off.
just wait a day or 2 and some nice soul with photoshop will help out.
BTW. its called the eye-dropper. it takes a sample of the color you click on, and adds it to your selection.

Crap: I forgot to recolor the area under the barrel.
Edit: Fixed. Just proving you don't need Photoshop to sig.

Negative, ghostrider- I see no difference. I'm at 32-bit color and I can't go any higher.

you do have jaggies, theyre just not very noticeable.
Straight edges dont create jaggies either, so everything inside a box looks great.

Ooooh Setari, I loooove the new look!
And seriously, who cares that the color isn't matched PERFECTLY? What is this, a forum of metrosexuals? As far as I know, there is only ONE Squeeky.

look down, do they? ;)
They don't on .png's, but since the majority of n00bs use IE, which doesn't support .png alpha transparency, they're extremly underused :( shame really because they seriously do rock.

are you joking?
It "seems" slower because of the way the pictures load, its actually about same speed, sumtimes faster, lots and ltos of features,m have u even played around with it?
And don't forget the extra security you get, the in built pop up blocker which blocks pretty much all crap and the cool way u can have favourites under the address box...
Firefox > Opera > IE

No.
It's better than IE. Pop-up blocker, accessable favorites from a taskbar. Opens new tabs rather than windows with one click. Inbuilt downloading and resuming software. Google search at the top.
There's more, but I can't be arsed typing them. Firefox is 231478234 > IE.

firefox nearly always faster for me because it does images later in the sequence.
the tabs and the adblock plugin are awesome, as are gestures.
i wont even go into how it renders images and css correctly

Oh! _and_ it has type-click links! Just type in what the link is, (or just the first couple of letters) and hit enter! Screw you, mouse!

O_o google toolbar does all that. And the Links folder in your favorites list in IE? guess what that is? (favorites on taskbar)
I dont like the built in downloading, tho if it resumes, then that is a plus. Google toolbar has the google search too :p
I see no advantage to it over IE, and several disadvantages.
And my security is great. I've never had any problems that ive traced back to IE.

Google toolbar doesn't do all that. You misunderstood me when I was talking about the favorites.
I can't be arsed arguing with you; it's obvious that you're too stubborn enough to see why firefox is > IE.

I guess. Im more than willing to try each, i jsut dont see why firefox is so much better.
I suppose FF isnt THAT bad, its jsut slower for me, and offers no real advantages.

Netscape, though bulky (Radio, wtf? Needs less unnecessary programs) works well for me. Firefox might be better.

you can get google toolbar is you go to teh extentions get more extentions options, or just drag a search tool into one of your toolbars and set it to search google by means of a hand pulldown menu.
Firefox is to IE what photoshop is to MSpaint. It is so much more powerfull, especialy when you get into all the cool thigns extentions can do(nearly eveything)
Aztec i encourage you to make the move to FF, or even it bigger bro mozilla. its loosly based on netscape, but more uptodate, and not owned by AOL.
EDIT speaking of extentions not all of them are jsut for function mine changes the brower name evey time i make a FF window, so instal of Mozila Firfos on the to of the window it can say(and does say right now) Pushic0n Firefox
