I just wish they'd nerf transit mode. It's so lame having enemy BFRs which you've pounded away at run away with ease because my BFR is the biggest and slowest and is thus easy to escape from. I imagine pilots feel the same way when the enemy ejects before his aircraft is destroyed.
Either way, good changes. Infantry really just aren't that effective against BFRs right now at all.

not sure if the changes will have that much of an affect for infantry.

I've wondered why BFRs are able to shoot while they are in their run mode at all. It seems like it would make more sense if they became unable to fire similar to MAXs as a kind of balance for using the run mode.

Lot's of people carry AV weapons. If they're actually useful against BFRs, then BFRs will have something to fear from infantry, and the only recourse infantry will have against BFRs won't involve charging into them and dying.
We also don't know how severe the EMP buff will be, but it will only help infantry.

Damn right. Now let's hope they actually are worth something... I've seen about a dozen resignations or intents to resign from Planetside from pissed-off friends, because of the BFR.
A 'small' reduction in shield strength worries me. The primary problem lies in the fact that with some decent dodging, a BFR is possessed of incredible amounts of shield HP. We'll see how much more effective empire AV is versus these things, because at the end of the day that's where the win is, I think. Massed infantry AV towards a BFR should = death, if a BFR is foolish enough to expose itself to that sort of thing without cover.
(And, in a bit of hubris, I do notice that the changes are in line with what I posted... I wonder if they actually listened... ;) )

Small Shield reduction and AV tweaks could both combine to make the infantry stronger.
We shall see however.

I'm wondering about the reduced damage of BFR anti-vehicle weapons myself. my BFR alt has hardly had a chance the second he meets the bash bros of VS BFRs, double-armor-siphon and his buddy captain tank cannon...
..and the fact I can't outrun them (one literally flew over and landed in front of me! x_X) really frustrates me. I wanna see the VS speed being in fire rate and not running speed, it's friggin nuts how fast those things run...
...of course, I would also support a MAX-like run mode where weapons are taken offline.
Maybe increase the speed of run-mode and kill the ability to fire, and piloting those things will be less of a pain IMHO.

How would BFRs ever kill each other in this case? If I could just run away with the transit mode, and you couldn't have a glint of hope in keeping up with me and firing at the same time, how will BFR vs BFR conflicts ever be resolved save through outside intervention? The transit mode needs to be nerfed, but it needs to be nerfed in favor of killing the BFRs, not simply reducing their ability to chase stuff.

I think transit mode should be disabled by using jammers to the feet/legs or something. Must have been mentioned somewhere already but....
