I was in a middle of a BFR fight, NC v VS (NC was winning), and i came across this!!!

What is it??????

I have seen that a lot lately. I think its leftover particle effects from BFRs

Looks like the ai weapon from the Orion, can't remember the name of it. But it makes those little plasma balls that stay buring on the ground.

Yup...the effect of a radiator with a plasma stick. Lovely things really :groovy:

It's the Orion AV weapon actually. And they don't stick to you. If they hit you, they stay in the exact spot they hit, but if you move, they won't come with you.

It's the Orion AI weapon, the Plasma Mortar. Quite nasty, those plasma globes persist for a while.

How can that be the AI weapon? Those things damage armor first as infantry. I've been hit with them numerous times. Do two weapons have that persistant globe effect or something?

They SHOULD be the AI weapon... they're the second choice for the Orion's gunner screen, I know that...

The AI weapon is the continuous laser I think.

But they have an identical graphical effect?

The NC weapon makes a bigger purple ball. The VS weapon as shown in the sshots above I believe is catagorized as AI from the loadout description. The AV weapon is a pulse cannon with no burning affect.

Lartnev, the Orion is Vanu the gunnar varaint. The burning plasma in the images above are from one of the gunner weapons. The AI weapon for the two arm weapons are lazers.
