It may seem silly but hows about we discuss the advantages of the devs adding a continent submerged entirely underwater. This would mean big bubble-bases sittin under water. it cud ave aqua-aircav and air support vehs. Also, long complex tubes goin everywhere for battling, and bits in the tubes that support em and u can destroy them and the whole tube will collapse :) also - the warpgates cud be under water too and instead of bein on a surface only bein half a sphere they cud be standin like the bases in the middle of da water and they'd bee a full sphere. that'd change planetside forever hhaha jk. This new continent cud introduce aqua-varient BFRs :D. these are just sum ideas anyone think its a nice idea or am I just sad?

Yeah, some kind of "Gungan City", a la episode 1 would be cool.

sounds good, but then characters will need to learn to swim. But new bfr's, not a good idea, will have all the anti bfr's on you wineing and wanting them nerfed.

+ if vchs are aloued in, you should be-able destory it from the inside(based on real life), not good, but tunnels that can be destoryed are a good idea, but where? (not near cc as you could block people trying to rehack their facil)

Why do you talk alot about the Command uplink device(cud)? especial becasue this is not realated to command in any way

good idea.
But i would make it without any vehicles....infantry only fight.
Since PlanetSide got max 23 cert points and theres almost 50-60 things they can spent on ALREADY.

So how would this appeal to people who like to drive vehicles like tanks, or like aircraft? And would the underwater areas be just like normal continents, or more special-function like caverns?

Id say theyd be more like caverns than normal conts. it could hold modules and stuff. As for how it wud appeal to ppl who likes tanks or aircraft, it cud b that all vehicles turn amphibian when they enter the cont :D

Mainly this whole idea wud just be to make it a bit more interesting than having just ur averange normal conts. I thought that was gunna change when the b/i's came but boy was i wrong. I think the game gets a little repetative and that the answer is not new guns or vehicles, but new settings! =)!

Well I guess your right but, the only way people will except the change is if there some rhyme or reason to go to that new place.. I.E. Hardly anyone went to the caves but when they needed to go so they didn't get squashed by BFR's they were flocking to em, and the battle islands were fun for the first few months or so but after that thier more of pain to get to than anything.

Yes it could be like they found oshur so they dont realy need to recode a big thing then add tubes along road and places and big domes around bases but only infintry and maxs can fight, for the grunts that want to be grunts not vehical food.

Ahh you got me there. Well I think the caves are so unvisited for a few reasons
>The layout (my opinion here) is just horrible for battling - complex, all smallish.
>Need the cc expansion.
>On the global map, they're all bundled up there in the corner.
>its a hassle goin onto a cont to get to a geowarp to get into the caverns
>Can't HART in.

So if an underwater cont was to be made, the devs wud just need to avoid any of those bad thingies. They could also do sumthin like the BFR imprinting thingy, or have monolyths hidden around da place for xp, but chances are once every players sucked all that stuff out the cont it will be unvisited.. Well its really up to how 'cool' and 'rad' the cont is.

The only reason people didnt go to to the caves is because there just too complicated and annoying. Mostly because the lag. The devs tried way to hard to make a fun palce, but failed miserably with the caves. There jsust annoying and laggy. And the battle islands, there just small.. and the same thing. I don't bother with them because I jsut don't. I don't know hwy some old timers don't like the battle islands but to me there just normal a continent

2. Good idea, but It wouldnt make much tactical sense, Why take an underwater base at all (Unless it provided some cool benefit) ? Then again PS doesnt have much tactical sense if you follow the zerg around, so in that case , Good idea!
