Im building a new PC for my brother. I just wanted to double check with you guys that everything will work together since this is really my first time hand picking all the parts. I really dont feel like screwing this up. Here are the links:

That's the processor you want. It's clocked at the same speed as the one you have now, but it has an 800mhz fsb. The one you have is only 533mhz fsb, which doesn't match the speed of your ram and will slow your system down. This one's only 10 bucks more, and will drastically improve performance. It has hyperthreading too.

Also, a Radeon 9800pro is a much better video card for practically the same price as the 5900XT.

I have an extra 512 MB PC2700 stick of RAM, so if I just got him another stick of PC 2700 instead of 3200, would he still need the 800mhz FSB?

And I have heard of the Radeon 9800 crashing games frequently.

the 9800 it is far better than a 5900xt, and stability probelms are basicaly non-existant with newer drivers.

In terms of performance the 800mhz fsb and ddr400 will kill the 533fsb and ddr333 when all other variables are equal

but you won't have dual channel ddr400, so i'm not sure, i would go with the better CPU and two 512's of 2700

Alright then, thanks for the suggestions, if I need any more assitance i will be sure to ask you guys.

EDIT: Just double checking that everything will work together, once everythings ordered were pretty much stuck with it.
