After a recent friendly-fire incident in which Mr. V blamed me for something Electrofreak did, because we have the same avatar, I shouted at him that having the sig on would show the difference.

But, some of you ride the short bus and cannot comprehend sig usage, and turn it off. So:

Do you have sigs turned on?

Yes I do, I like to look at how good people are at making sigs, or at least the people that made them for the person. Sigs > No sigs

how about, as a solution, a persons sig is only shown once per page to save room? then you see sigs but you don't have as many pages because less room is used?

BTW I have sigs turned on. They are nifty to look at.

sigs are kinda cool, as they are like a window into their personality, they don't slow down my page load times alot, and i could care less about how many posts are on a page.

I've got sigs on. I like my Black Hawk avatar, (long live BH!) but at times I sometimes do feel like switching it to my traditional lightning-bolt avatar (which I don't think any of you have seen) to reduce confusion.
