I think the slightly filtered quality of the Matrix is kind of a key element for the films though. at least for the first one.

10 DVD's for a movie Trilogy that should have stopped after the first one.
Thanks but no thanks.
Great pics though.

It would be kewl if they Digitaly re-mastered the story into a good one!
I'll buy this one right after I buy the complete Highlander movie set... Another film that should have NEVER had a sequal... or at least not one that sucked monkey balls.

It doubt it'll improve the fact that the 3rd film had the depth of your average puddle and effectively consisted of an incredibly long, tedious super-power fight and lots of robots shooting at lots of other robots.
2nd one I loved, had all the elements that the first one did, just on a grander scale. It was a blast in my view.

Agreed, the first one was a good movie, but the other two, were just drivel for profit.
What in Gods name are they going to use to fill up 10 DVDs?

Agreed. I enjoyed the first one and thus wanted to see the second one, which I enjoyed more than the first, which lead to me wanting to see the third one, which then lead to me feeling like I just heard a bad punchline.

When I first saw it I thought I'd somehow missed the point.. there was some underlying hidden meaning that I'd been too stupid to see.
Then I saw it again and realized it was just crap :scared:

Yep. I don't really see what everyone's problem with the 2nd one was to be honest. It had all the elements of the first, the cool fight scenes, the philosophy, the great characters and at this point, an actual storyline. The fight scenes were just.. better.. than the first one. Some people didn't like the 'pretentious' philosophy near the end, but personally I ate it up.

Why do most people hate the 3rd? I mean, yeah, it's nowhere near as good as one and two, but it's not that bad. If you don't like it just because it's not in The Matrix, then you're missing the point: the first film is nearly entirely in the Matrix; most people are trapped, unaware of what's happening. The second is pretty equal between the two; more people are being freed because of Neo. And the third is nearly entirely in the real world, because it is the revolution, everyone is being freed. If you don't like it because it was just a bit shittier than t'others then umm.. merh.

I don't like it because it effectively consisted of a ridiculous section with the 'Train-man', that made very little sense and had virtually no relevance to the story, a tediously long fight in lots of rain and about 3 hours of human inside reasonably cool looking robots shouting 'ARRGHHH!!!!' at the never ending swarm of sentinels.
The cool bits.. were the flight over the machine city, although this was subsequently ruined by the silly looking composite face machine boss thing. There are a lot of other things wrong with it but actually posting them would contain spoilers, for those who haven't seen the third (although I wouldn't recommend it.. stop with the second).
