I decided to make the planning process for PSU:MB more of an interactive experience for you guys, since you're who this whole thing is for!
Today's poll decides which hotel we will be staying at this summer. I will book the hotel with the most votes at the end of the day today.
A note: All the hotels include breakfast - live and learn from last year! All of the hotels are roughly the same distances from Sony HQ and the San Diego Zoo. Also, all the rooms have two double beds, the same arrangement at PSUMA, so if you're squeamish about shacking up with another person, get a cot :)
2 beds to each room, 4 person per room.
Here are the choices, in no particular order:
1) Days Inn (http://www.daysinn.com/DaysInn/control/Booking/property_info?propertyId=05769&brandInfo=DI)
2) Best Western (http://book.bestwestern.com/bestwestern/productInfo.do?propertyCode=05078)
3) Best Value Inn (http://www.innatmissionbay.com/!/1?ef8775903c726ddeb44cd8b2a125ca32)
4) Howard Johnson's (http://www.hojo.com/HowardJohnson/control/Booking/property_info?propertyId=11559&brandInfo=HJ)
5) Ramada Inn (http://www.ramada.com/Ramada/control/Booking/property_info?propertyId=10454&brandInfo=RA)
What do you think? I'm leaning towards the Best Western.

The Best Western looks nice... although whenever I travel I seem to get stuck in a Ramada... so yeah, change is nice.

Phh! Tons of people who went to Alpha don't play the game. The game is like a sidenote to the weekend's activities. Except... oh yeah. This year we'll probably be touring Sony's HQ - it'll be sweet whether you like the game or no. AND you'll get the chance to tell the Dev's what they can do to make the game better, like the people who went to Alpha did.
Best Western for teh winx0r.

I'd love to have gone, but Flordia was bad timing and California is just... not gonna happen. Maybe next time a central locale?
That said you guys should go with HoJo.
Cause nothing beats waking up in a HoJo

All I know is that I wanna be in the suite with all the cool fatties. Make it so

There won't be suites this year like there was last year - this year there'll be only four people per room instead of eight.

That kind of makes me want to book it like, right now.
I think I will.
If the poll ends up having more votes for something else, I'll cancel our reservations there and make them at the new place.
Hooray for interactive progress

Haha, are you being sarcastic?
I do the narrowing-down, you lot do the actual choosing :)
Except for the big stuff, like where we'll be spending the days, because we're not going to San Diego and NOT going to Sony HQ!

Good thing you didn't choose the Ramada Inn, those places suck.

Just an update, I got in touch with the Group Sales Coordinator at Hard Rock Cafe. She sent me three sample group menu's, which all kind of stunk (option #1 was burger, salad or pasta; option #2 was ribs, pasta, chicken; option #3 was chicken, chicken, and chicken), so I emailed her back and told her that we want:
- a burger option
- a pasta option
- a ribs option
- a chicken option
AND DESSERT.
The thing that's neat about this year is, I can do whatever I want, and then charge you for it, rather than last year where you paid me and I had to stick to that.
This doesn't mean that things are going to be more expensive, it just means that everything's going to be better :)

I'd vote... but yeah I keep losing my jobs and I will most likely never have the cash for it.
