Do some one know any good chat programs that can be used wenn playing Planetside..

well if you mean voice communication programs, i'd suggest TeamSpeak 2.. or maybe preGameSpy Roger Wilco if you can find a copy of it.

Most Tribes clans use SideWinder Voicshare... both the free demo and the full vers. are excellent.

I have TS2 but I was just wondering if there is other good voice programs...tanx for the replys

This is the most used chat program in CS, next in line would be gamevoice then teamspeak and rogerwilco.

I strongly recommend battlecom, its out of production(updates/bug fixes) but it works extremely well and doesnt hog recourses.

BC is free, GV isnt, TS is free, RW is free. Gamevoice is based on BC btw, microsoft bought them...

Where would you get an idea like that? I'd say this is the LEAST used method.

Most teams use TS or RW. There's another one that's gaining popularity (the name escapes me right now).

Ive used all of the following:

Roger Wilco
Battlecom
Teamspeak [5150 version]
Teamspeak 2

so far i have liked TS2 the most.

say one person has RW and another TS2 can they communicate? If not everyone is going to want to have the same program. I have never used a voicechat program in a game without builtin voice chat.

Everyone needs the same program.
