What is MPC?
- MPC stands for Musepack, which is an audio compression format like .mp3 or .ogg.
- For information about MPC, as well as how it compares to other formats, please visit:

How do I play MPC files?
- Install WinAMP Player
WinAMP 2.xx (http://classic.winamp.com/)
WinAMP 5.xx (http://www.winamp.com/)
- Install the MPC plugin for Winamp (http://www.rarewares.org/mpc.html)
- Alternatively, you can get the Foobar player (http://www.foobar2000.org/)
MPC files can be played without getting additional plugins. Foobar can also play the
compressed (aka the .rar file) without extracting individual files.
- For the best audio quality, turn equalization off as well as any DSP plugins
you may be running -- they can cause unwanted distortion or general degradation
of your music.
I recently downloaded a japanese cd (legal as its not available in the US) but all the tracks are in mpc format. Anyone know of a way to change them to mp3s or other more managable tracks?
Its great music, and i'd like to be able to listen to it on my iRiver.
Thanks
