I'd much rather have a GameCube than an XBox, myself. A lot of the good games on the XBox can be gotten on the PC, and there are way more good, exclusives games for the GameCube than there are for the XBox.

What the FUCK (I usually don't curse, but this has really pissed me off) difference does this MAKE? What's the point of video games? To entertain us and have fun! Oh, do you feel "cooler" or more "mature" because you're playing games sprayed with violence. Best example I can think of right now is PS1 Tony Hawk's Pro Skater and N64 Tony Hawk's Pro Skater. The N64 version of the game took out the blood, and got a lot of flak for it, but at the end of the day, what difference did it make? ZERO.

I really don't see what's wrong with the controller. It's not the best for FPS's (although Metroid Prime managed to create a pretty good control scheme with it), but for any genre besides that, it's brilliant.

i would say the worst system in my eyes was the PS1, i only likes one game on it, Arrmored Core.

I own a Game Cube, and i can say games don't have to be violent or "grown-up" to be outragouesly fun. Take Super Smash Bro's that game is the best 2d fighter i have ever played, it has no blood, and it uses people like Mario and Link to fight with.

The controler is my favorite of the three as well(especial if your just comparing the controlers that came at launch), and my only peeve about it is the z button, it could have been put in a better position, for you middle finger or something.

And as far as DVD/CD goes, why do you need that? Basicaly every household i've seen with an Xbox/PS2 already has a DVD player. and atleast 4 CDplayers. It's liek haveing a computer speaker system that has a CD player built in. Your computer already has a CD drive why do you need another one?

That aside, it's not better than XBox, but it is better than PS2. All PS2 has is GTA and sports. GameCube has Metroid Primes, Wind Wakers, New 3D Zelda, and SSBM.

I love x-boxs big ole bulky controller and how I can watch dvds, listen to cds in games, interact with people online with x-box live. To me its the best system ever. From a hardware standpoint it goes Xbox>GCN>PS2. Thats that, it is more powerefull graphicaly than the PS2.

But i'd take my computer over any of them, Infact i'm trying to convince my dad to pay for a Entertainment comp, Small settop box w/ a Pentium M 6600gt and a good TV tuner card. DVD player, all the computer games, and better graphics than any console = Win.

The reason why many people like GC over maybe xbox and ps2 is for their unique games and characters. Seriously you look around at everything, yes theres some games for several systems that stand out, but even so half those games are playable on every other system. Practicly all the games on GC are only on the GC. you wont find Mario anywhere else, Zelda, Metriod. Those games are classic, yes maybe little kids like them more because they are colorful, but common, you have to say they entertaining. And for those who said LoZ:WW was kiddie, have you played it, i say its one of the best games to make. Take a look at it, dont make conclusions.

I can say to PS2 that all your games are the same, they're all racing, shooting, army games. Maybe some unique ones, otherwise they all are the same. If i bought it all i would really get is GTASA, Grand Turismo, Jak3, and maybe Tribes Ariel Assault (i enjoyed that game...)

Xbox.....eh, you got good games, most your games though can be played on the PS2. Better graphics here tho.....

There are 2 PS2s and 2 (well 3 currently but it's my friend's) XBoxes in my house. I personly own one of each (PS2 & XBox). I don't own a Game Cube cause non of the games are worth it to me. But if there was some I'd save up and buy it to. Sure there are many games that come out to all systems too.

I guess my point is that each system has their own Pros and Cons. And the way I get around them is to dump every penny I have into them. :lol:

EDIT: I like the feel of the old school xbox controller, its just that im used to the smalll ones caues i didnt get an xbox till last year or was it the year before? and the small one's button arrangment is a TAD bit more comfortable, but the overall feel of the big one makes it better to me.
