I read in the FAQ that there will be three factions... but i only see two colors in the screen shots red and blue .. whats the third color going to be... sorry if this is a stupid question.

It's Purple for the Vanu. Now that you mention it I don't think there aer too many screen shots of the Vanu Armor. There are some really nice ones of their Tank though.
