yup, i just picked up a MacDev cyborg and can't wait to use it this year in the Golden Triangle: Quebec circuit during the summer time!!!!!

one of the best guns in the world and i now own it...only $800 for it (got some money off for it from MacDev) and it retails at $980. i'll have a picture of it up sooner or later!!

i've been looking to pick up a tippmann SL-68 so i can have a pump gun. probably picking up a tippmann pro-lite. i have a pro-carbine right now too besides my cyborg. i used to have a brass eagle raptor but i sold it about a month ago.

I have an 02 Outkast, but with an E-Blade (1st series), Eclipse delron bolt (love it), Eclipse samrai trigger (also great), and a 16" Evil Pipe(with 4 or 5 inserts). its pretty leet, but I always have problems with the pneumatics, so I just decided to sell it. The P trix is 950 but I think I can sell the cocker for maybe 850 or so.

the proto 05 trix is a nice gun....is your outkast spiking? is that what is wrong with the pneumatics?

nothing really...I can basically get an equal trade off at a local paintball place with my cocker...I have all proto gear, so I just thought, why the hell not. Also, I dont really like the samurai trigger, or the eblade trigger setup at all. I used a DM4 once and absolutely ripped with it, twice as fast as I can with a blade.

Smart Parts do make good markers, I kinda like shockers, but Smart Parts themselves are cheap assholes who well, suck.

I think Dye gear is pretty good, but I like Proto better. I have alll proto gear. :cool:

yes the freak is on of the best on the market but i honestly think the MatchStik Kit by MacDev is better. its cheaper and its just as accurate, maybe better, then the freak. The Freak is a good barrel system though.

also, Greg Hastings Tournament Paintball is awesome, you should check it out. thing is, its a short Single Player, but very good single player, and there is no offline multiplayer which bothers me, but its a game meant for Xbox Live and I can't wait to play it on xbox live.

already have Greg Hastings, on my 3rd Amateur tourney. awesome paintball game. its way, way too biast to autococker and stuff though. The dynasty shocker looks like crap, as does the Empire timmy.

The newer versions look like there were made to be one of those guns a rich kid buys and suddenly thinks he is the greatest player on earth but doesnt know how to plug his tank in. Now the origonal trixes. Now there is a gun. It almost never broke, every part of it is upgradeable (more so than the new ones), they look very plain but rape. I dont like people thinking that my gun can rape them. I want them to be at the other end of the field being very suprised by the 50 paintballs raining on their head in 2 seconds.

yea the DM4 is definately a "rich kid" gun I guess, but its still one of the best markers out there. or better yet the new DM5

remember that almost all of the old trix's are upgradeable because they don't come with the best parts in them to start off...the new dm4 and 5's or even the proto's come with alot of the best parts already so you won't be able to upgrade more of the parts. Macdev Cyborg comes almost perfect with the exception of the barrel (its very good but always buying a good barrel kit is better), and the mid-rise on it, you can put the sonic clamp mid-rise instead. alot of those expensive guns out now are ones that aren't that upgradeable because they come almost perfect stock.

I was on your side when i was talking about the new guns being better stock....

the Cyborg is more like an Uber Bushmaster...MacDev makes all the Sonic aftermarket parts for bushmaster and then in 2004 the decided to make their own marker.

The new DM4 and 5 break alot. They arnt as reliable as the old school trix. I, like Ivan have an old school trix. Mine is LED too not the LCD which I would have prefered but did not take because of low tempratures in NY (LCD can be ruined by the low temps here). Fortunatly mine isnt Gen-E its a TMC edition trix which is basicly a Gen E that has upgrades. This christmas Im re tricking it out now that I have money again.

Thinkin about a new bolt kit In line and barel. Prolly a new trigger too. Also I need a pair of volumeizers for looks. And a bunch of trix goop.

Last I heard Evolve made the best Bolt kit or our Matrix. I havn't checked back up on it though. Something better might have came out since then. As for a trigger, I'd get the "Custom Products Matrix Ball Bearing Speed" trigger. I've read it's smooth as silk.

i was never a Trix fan in general. I would never pick up the DM4 or 5 or even the proto's. old school or new school rich boy, i'm not a fan but they are good markers.....

I wouldnt consider the DM4 unreliable. Sure, old school trixes might be as reliable as a tippman, but the DM4 is so much more advanced then even the 03 Matrix.

Thanks for the ideas on the bolt Ivan. I was wondering which I should get. I know what LPC or Inline im getting. The Aardvark one. They are supposed to be the best on the market. Also need a good barrel.

BTW: Pumps > all. My best friend used to own some tricked out pro pump. I dont know anything about the guns but I do know this. That gun could hit you from anywhere on the field. They are sooooo nice.

I have all Sonic parts. the gun comes stock with everything so i have no reason to upgrade most of it. i'm putting the Sonic Clamp mid-rise on it and adding the Sonic Bolt (maybe). buying the MatchStik barrel kit from Macdev also. so what, i'm a macdev fan, wear their jersey, pants, use their gun and tank.
