My dog Jewell, and English setter 7 years old, has just been taken to the vet because she's been rather week and strage lately.

This weekend, she would shiver randomly for a long time, and she wouldn't east much(if any).

But this morning i woke up and when out into the living room and she was laying on the couch, she's not supposed to do that, so i told here to get down, she didn't so i soved here off onto he pilow that was right there, she just kinda rolled off and stayed putt staring at me, she wouldn't move unless i moved her myself.

So i get home from school today and she acts kinda happy sorta meekly wagging here tail, and she tries to walk to me but she sliped and fell and just kinda lied there, untill i picked here up to put her in the car to take her to the vet.

So i'm relay worried about her, however much hassle she was, and however much stuff she messed up, i don't relay want her to die.

:tear:

I'm sure the push helped her.

It was onto a pillow.

Hopefully she'll out alright. It's probably just a 'bug' going around.

Hope she is okay. My dog (Maltese, 4 years old) has a liver problem and has to be on a special diet for the rest of its life.

That sucks, one of our dogs has contestive heart failure and will be dead within a few months. Its one the top 5 worst feelings in the world when your pet dies.

WEll my mom just got back form the VEt, the Doc says he doens't know what is wrong, but he thinks she'll be OK after a while, gave us some anti-biotics for her too, so we'll see how it goes.

Maybe he just has the flu.

THe only things that ever happen to my cats are ticks and minor injuries. From eachother.

That does really suck...
My dawg Kazak is a 14 year old Great Dane...huge, old but really sweet =D She just follows you around and sleeps next to you. She'll probably be buying the farm too soon, losing dogs, especially if you've known them for a long time, is not fun at all =[ It's just like losing a relative.

Well it definetly isn't from old age, seen many dogs live to be at least 17

Rob, my dog has the exact same problem. Well most of what you described, around 7-10 dogs tend to get sick and weak.

Uh-uh, bitch!

My dog is 9, and she just sits and sleeps. Doesn't do really anything but sleep unless there's a walk or food around, or you really tempt her into playing with you, and even then she won't bring the ball back to you. And she's been like that SINCE SHE WAS 5!

In all seriousness though, it's probably nothing much, just a sick pooch. Good luck to her, though.

Actually, the reason my dog's like that is because when she was just a pup this one girl from across the street who my brother liked (he was in 5th-6th grade) was over at our pool with a couple other people from the foster home she lived at, and this girl was going upstairs to get something, and Daisy (dog) was in the Garage. Ashley (neighbor) went up to pet her, and Daisy got really scared. Ever since then, Daisy's been fairly anti-social. She doesn't run around, she doesn't like to play that much, she won't even lick your hand unless there's food in it, and even then you have to taunt her with it to get her to take it. She's not mean at all, just really distanced.

i'm sure she'll be fine. dogs can get really sick from time to time but they almost always pull through it at any age before 12.

My dog, up in ohio, is a wimp. i love him though. best dog to play with in the snow because he catches snowballs :D

Possibly a stomach bug. Has your dog had any diareaha(sp?) My dog used to be like that sometimes too. She would shake and shake and wouldnt move unless she had too. She always had the runs too. Take your dog outside and check next time.

well here's a sad update for you all.

We took her to the vet and got some pills and she started to get a bit bettter, we ran out of them for two days and she got worse, and didn't get any better, the last time we took her to the vet they found tumors or something, so she has cancer or the like.

Anyway we're going to put her down tomarrow morning, i hope it's relay whats best, has me preaty bummed though. 7 years old.
