okay the ram is here I wanted to put it in but... I can't get the god damn case open. Its for a dell dimension 4500 anyone know what to do?

lmfao! There should be 2 latches in the back of the case where you can remove one panel.(at least that's how my Gateway opens)

If so that little latch near the bottom right(just above the very bottom vent) should unlock the case. Man that's weird
Just look for snaps or screw in back or side. :)

man, don't feel bad... a friend of mine has a compaq that we have to get a screwdriver to pop the side off even after the screws are taken out... it's a pain :)

I guess they make it hard cuz they would rather u buy a new computer and than upgrade parts

Leave it to dell to make elaborate puzzles for cases. Might as well have made the case out of one piece of metal. They could make a small hole in it so you could look at the parts you will never be able to upgrade.

My HP's case is very easy to open and is very user intuitive. (In fact, of all the cases I have come across, it is my favorite.) If I didn't plan on building my next computer I would get another HP.
