I actually think the phoenix might come out on top. You can snipe MAXes with it. You can blow turrets without an LOS (though you'll have a nice smoke trail pointing you out)...

I FEAR the base assault that makes heavy use of phoenixes. All your turrets go boom.

Say a couple guys have a buggy cert between them, both have anti-vehicular certs, and a trunk full of phoenixes. All your turrets are belong to us. They can zip around... blast a couple turrets to bits, zip some more, blast, zip, blast... stop off at the AMS to top off the trunk again...

Don't get me wrong... All the anti-vehicular weapons sound pretty effective, I just think the phoenix has enough other applications that it'll be used more often.

But the NC's won't be as good at AA (hopefully). So there's a tradeoff. The lancer and (especially) the striker both sound like they'll work well in an AA role.

And some of the MAX weapons sound Pretty Nasty too. Scatter cannon? Nova (personnel tracking projectiles from a suped up pulsar...)? Pounder? All Quite Deadly.

I wonder if the NC anti-V max will be able to pilot their missile. Doesn't sound like it. THAT thing may be the largest single hit in the game (competeing with the Vanguard's 150mm cannon).

Lots of cool ways to smear people, all around. Conceptually speaking, things sound fairly well balanced. But it all comes down to numbers... and that's what betas are for.

I don't understand why everyone likes terran and vany. God, NC has the best and coolest weapons by fffffaaaaaarrrrr. Shotties and a slayer. Common. I'll say that the lancer is kinda cool, and the lasher is awsome, and the TR max anchoring itself, now that's bitchin, but common, Shotties and slayers, and long range guass uber guns, common

The Gauss is quite Uber, yet i have to go with the Bolt Driver, and BTW, the Driver will take 2 shots to kill, possibly more.

Hands down, I think the Gauss is the best weapon in the game. Since this is common pool pool, I voted Punisher, like the majority.
