well, i have two options.
i could install it on my router, known to you as charon - an 800mhz duron, or i could power up one of my dual PII machines for it. the later would use more power, of course, and that's no fun, but i'm low on disk space on charon.

anyway, has anyone experienced significant latency whilst playing on my server? especially when i broadcast on ts, for example

Well, Martyr, when it was just 5 of us, the server latency wasn't really that bad - and it was better than some servers I've been on. Realistically, I don't think an 8 person server would be that bad.

simple but fun multiplayer game
bunch of soldiers with Counter Strike-esque gun selection style (only you don't need money) only it's 2-D.. hard to explain. you have to see it.
really fun CTF.

I've also got a dedicated server running for when tangoserv is down. It doesn't appear on the server listings for some reason but you can connect directly via totalbiscuit.is-a-geek.net, default port.

it was the only game i coudl relay play while my comp was dead i got quite good in baretta pot-shooting

Hell, I don't even use the automatic guns anymore. I'm a certified Ruger marksman.

-Heavy damage for sniping- 2 or 3quick shots are a kill
-Quick refire rate for medium-range/shooting aeral targets
-Lightning-fast reload
-Impress retards who can't hit a target with a Minigun

I use Deagles/LAW or Steyr/Knife

The Deagles are great, a lot of damage, and if both shots are head shots, instant kill. They are also very fast to reload. I only carry around the LAW in case I see someone behind cover, then I blast them out. I dont really need a secondary weapon with Deagles, since they reload so quickly.

Steyr/Knife is great, too, since the Steyr has a pretty fast reload. I use the knife if I run out of steyr shots, and I need to throw it at someone to quickly kill them.

I'll take the SPAS. Great for airborn tricks, very nice damage. Awesome up close.
