I've chosen some restaurants for the Friday night "opening ceremonies" dinner of PSU:MB. I thought it'd be nice if we had dinner by the water, to get us into the San Diego groove! Even though not all the restaurants listed are on the water, they're all restaurants that I feel would please everyone.
Whatever has the most votes by Monday gets booked!
Here are your choices:
1) Bali Hai (http://www.sandiegorestaurants.com/details.cfm?res_id=193)
The song of palms, in a twilight tropic breeze. The soft hiss of outriggers, slicing the water of a blue lagoon. The majesty and mystery of the South Pacific is recreated in one of the most unique restaurants in America...Bali Hai, on San Diego's Shelter Island.
It's legendary paradise of the Pacific, now a romantic reality, where the sensual rhythms of the Tahitian chant blend with the delectable aromas of the island luau...whether you're enjoying an intimate dinner for two, a private party for twnety or a banquet for a hundred...it's an adventure in Polynesian pleasure.
One of the most famous restaurants in the Pacific Basin, Bali Hai has become San Diego's first port of call for discriminating diners from all points of the compass. Aloha!!
2) Nick's (http://www.sandiegorestaurants.com/details.cfm?res_id=137)
This two-story restaurant offers the best of both worlds. Downstairs you'll find a light and airy, casual, California-style restaurant. Upstairs at Nick's is where the party begins. Great tasting steaks, chicken dishes, savory apple brandy pork chops, pasta dishes, crowd-pleasing sandwiches and salads. You'll enjoy the great ocean view from outdoor deck where smoking is allowed.

Cafe Pacifica serves only the very Freshest Fish, as well as a variety of delicious Pasta dishes, Lamb Chops, and Steaks.
