I updated the video drivers on my NVIDIA GEFORCE4 the other day and got on after and the capitol and BFR Shields look like this now:

and the equip terms:

But on the positive side for the first time since the Del Vars the new AMS and new Del Vars aren't completely black like they used to be.

Is this how it looks for everyone? The BFR Shield is the only real problem, I dropped the cert because I couldn't see (plz no "WOOT 1 BFR cert down 200 more to go") I loved my BFR :( can you fix this problem!??!

you dropped your favorite cert because of a graphics
problem? And yes, no one else has this problem, thats definetly obstructive and abnormal, try messing around with the graphics options.

Interesting heh, tried upgrading your drivers and everything? If so check out http://planetside.station.sony.com/contact_us.jsp

Why don't you revert to some older drivers? If the new ones are going to make using a vehicle you like impossible, then the new ones obviously aren't worth it unless they're making some other games playable that previously were not, or something.

It's not just a graphics problem, I can only see out of the shield if I look all the way up or all the way down >_< look at the first pic

Updating the drivers is waht caused the problems :/

It makes Half Life 2 playable, thats why I updated because it said "Your drivers are outdated, this might cause serious problems while playing"

I suggest going through older driver versions and finding one that makes both games playable.

Many people other people have similiar problems with newer drivers and ps, theres no known fix other than to buy a video card that is newer than the geforce 4 line.

I have an NVidia Geforce 2 PCI card, and the same problem. Reason why you're getting this glitch is because you got the version 6.5 Nvidia Geforce drivers. Updating it won't help because I don't think NVidia will be fixing it anytime soon. Back from the version 4.5 driver, BFRs didn't even have a visible shield on my screen. Then I updated... couldn't see through the shield, and dropped BFR. I was happy though because my FPS doubled in heavy combat.

(EDITED) Buy an Nvidia GeForce FX 16x AGP card. Not to be advertising, but I hear they give you GREAT texture quality, great particle effects, and a constant 200 fps, and hopefully that BFR bug won't be there (Geforce FX uses different drivers than other Geforce models). Cost is about 120 bucks. I myself would buy one but I have such a crappy computer, theres no AGP slot :(. (3 GHZ, 4x PCI nvidia gforce2, 1GB RAM... Celeron so there's no AGP slots. The built in graphics card was 1x so I bought a PCI one...)
