Sgt. Ryan is seen being hit (already falling) in the third picture. RIP to the other marine (who died from his wounds). Sad
AFAIK Sgt. Ryan wasn't killed btw, 'only' wounded.

The first one is really the first photo.
The second photo is taken between the second and third original photo's.
The third picture is taken between the third and fourth original photo's.

huh? I didn't even know there was insurgents who were trained to use snipers. I thought they just spewed bullets outta ak-47s.

Actually Pants, there are plenty of sniper type weapons in that region. AKs converted into SVD Sniper rifles. SKSes, Tokorev T40s, Mosin Nagants. There are plenty of traditional sniper rifles in that area because of all the black market soviet weaponry. Plus the Urban cities in Iraq provide good cover and line of sight for snipers.

Yeah, i mean really, have you not seen any films set in the middle east? Every single one* has at least one child with a sniper rifle in.

*this is not true. But the film "Three Kings," does.
