now that PSU is shutting down for good, i would like to say that i will miss everyone and ill mis visintg this site every day, but i feel that there is a need. A need to stay intouch, so, me and a few other people decided to make our own IRC channel for PSU refugees, this was put up because we saw a need ofr a channel one the official PSU IRC is down. We are located on gamesurge, and the channel is #ps-universe. Hope to see alot of you there!

have a forum for psu refugees as well, and i'm gonna try to pull in some more services, hamma permitting.

Instructions on Connecting:

First try to find the closest GameSurge server near you, list here (http://www.gamesurge.net/servers/)

Then type /server yourserver

If you get an error reading

":Your username is invalid."
"Connect with your real name, in lowercase"

You'll have to unintsall mIRC and reinstall.

When you reinstall and you are prompt to make a real name, an e-mail address, a nickname, and a alt nicknaname put:

Real Name: nickname
E-mail: [email protected]
Username: nick
Alt Username: nick

And you should be able to connect

Then once you are in just type /join #ps-universe

For short:
irc.gamesurge.net
#ps-universe

If you have mIRC go to here (irc:irc.gamesurge.net/ps-universe)

Ex-PSU staff will be given level 499 OP (highest level)

Whatever you do don't pick a ghey server, some servers really fucking suck, go down all the time, netsplits, etc.

To run a IRC Server you need a dedicated server, you can however just join the channel on gamesurge which is the same thing and it doesn't cost anyone a buck.

Doop brought up netsplits. Since GameSurge had updated it's services netsplits have become super rare. I idle in multiple channels with over 300 people in them and I have not seen a netsplit in the past 3 or so weeks or even more.

:) :love: no, seriously, I think that a channel with such moderation would end up with more drama than PSU IRC. Hence, I will gladly join an IRC channel who has someone with a bit of maturity as OP, but I'm not going to head into the disaster that is a (IMHO) trolling 13-year-old as OP.

Sorry 321, but I know how juvenile you can be and I'm not going to deal with it. If martyr or another responsible person creates an IRC channel I'll be happy to join.

Guys, especially electorfreak, if you see me as immature, I agree that in the past I have acted immature. But I'm willing to act more mature if you want :). Let it be known that from this day forward 321 will not be immature! And EF lets put any hatred between us behind us :).

Hello, I have seen that many people have refused to join #ps-universe on irc.gamesurge.net because I am an OP. I did indeed make the channel and am an OP becuase I wanted to keep PSU alive with an IRC channel.

I know that some of my actions in the past have been immature but, I wish to start of fresh. I promise to not be immature Smile. If you do not believe me because of past actions I can't convince you.

Now if you aren't going to idle because you don't like GameSurge or whatever, I can not do anything about that. Though GameSurge was t one time not very stable with a lot of "netsplits" the server has been very stable as of late. I have not see a netsplit (and I idle multiple 200+ channels) in over a month. And even when there were some netsplits they were backup in ten minutes.

Also please do not come in asking for OP. The OPs will be the ex-PSU staff like triggar, martyr, Hamma, ect. at least the ones that come.
