Okay I finally broke today and flipped out while playing WoW because it get's so choppy whenever stuff gets interesting... like prime time, or a raid. My computer is getting on in age, It's easily 2 and a half years old now. I have a 2gig processor and 512 PC2100 ram and a Geforce 4 64mb TI 4200... and the computer is a Dell.
What is required to make WoW just work smoothly, I don't need awesome graphics I just don't want it to be really laggy and choppy due to things I can fix. Do I need some kind of Ram upgrade? I figured 512 should be fine but I know my graphics card is piss poor. Would something like Radeon 9600 Pro help out a lot? What's the nVIDIA equivalent? What should I do in this situation? I love WoW but I can't go on playing like this! my character deserves better!
