Yo don't think ive seen a poll for this or a topic on it. I listen to rap but im not "wigger" or "wannabe gangster". I just like to listen to it. I think it DOES require talent and isn't as easy as everyone thinks. Opinions?

I'm a electronic/techno fiend to the last breath. Rap takes skill - no doubt, but I dont like it for a lot of reasons.

I see it as this: crappy techno with crappy vocals. The sound doesnt appeal to me.

I dont like the rap that seems to be really popular now. I like the stuff thats a little more underground... Talib Kweli is a personal favorite. I also listen to alot of other stuff namely hardrock and some metal. Occasionaly i can stand some 80's metal and I sometimes listen to stuff like Ac/Dc and older stuff like that :)

Whats wrong with country guys? Its my favorite! How can you not like the kickin' beats and the hormonious tunes?

Jk, if you couldn't tell.

As far as electronic music,
How about a Ragga MC, freestyling over some two step, jump up or most any other form of D&Br?

How about groups like Asian Dub Foundation? LTJ Bukem made his career working with MC Conrad (not that I am a Bukem fan). Prodigy goes heavy on the MCs (he cut down on his music making because he was frustrated that it was moving away from Hip hop).

Almost all electronica finds its roots in Hip Hop. Hip hop and electronic music go hand in hand.

On topic though, I hate rap. I utterly, totally, completely despise it. I loathe being on the same planet with it :domotwak:
