And we can all pary to god, Alahha, mecca, or who ever you pray to that Uwe Boll will not be touching this one.

I haven't seen 28 days later but im crossing my fingers that this director knows how to pull this off.

I'd still prefer if they got ridley Scott like they hoped for.

There is no way this can be good.

Oh god, I smell one of the worst movies of all time approaching. Videogame movies are never good, I was thankful when Blizzard cancelled the WC movie.

i hope it somehow turns out good, because it probably wont

28 days later wasnt so bad

I doubt they'll manage to screw it up. There's too much money behind it. Not to mention Halo has an excelent backstory behind it, beyond what you see in the game.

I reallly likes Spirts within. I still think if it was released under another name it would have done 10 times better. People were justing expecting a REAL FF movie.

Spirits within was a very good movie. Some people didn't like it because it was an original story, and didn't just rip off one of their games. Go figure.

I wouldn't say very good, it was acceptable. It could have been much better, and still be as unrelated to FF as it was. The cgi in it was amazing though, I have to give them that.

Seemingly impossible odds of sucking =/= a movie is guaranteed to not suck. Case in point: Star Wars: Episodes I and II. It seemed impossible for Lucas to screw up Star Wars. Somehow, he managed to.

Money =/= a good movie, either. Case in point: Titanic.

Im just glad the FF movie didn't have the flaming ****** cloud in it. With his incredbly reatarded looking sword (which im sure he made soo big inorder to compensate for something else)

No movie based on a video game ends up good. 3 words: Super Mario Brothers

You guys have to understand it's not the video games themselves that make bad movies. It's the people who direct them that makes them bad movies. When someone gets the idea to make movie based off of a video game Hollywood gives them limited funds an hires some sad director for the job (Uwe boll, Paul Anderson) who then cast B movie actors to play the roles in the film.

But since alot of people know the incredible succes behind Halo. Im sure even people in Hollywood noticed Halo was a huge hit. PLUS! Microsoft is keeping a close eye on the script, and will choose the director. I'll guareentee that this will be the best Video game into movie yet! Im not saying it'll be the best movie, and im not saying it'll be oscar worthy. But im saying it'll be the best video game movie yet!

We all know Microsoft has money and lots of it so im sure they can hire a great director and actors.

Yea, it seems however no matter how good the original intentions are they always end up just being complete shit

Oh ba jeebus, the NUMBER ONE THING I loved about halo 2 was that you can shove anything anywhere, as long as you try hard enough I. E. Banshees through doors, ghosts through "Supposed to get off of vehicle and fight on foot" doors... and even if the wraith didnt make it through without blowing up, all you have to do is blow the motherfucking shit out from behind with a tank =P

To the point I so hope they have some awesome vehicle shoving

and a rule they should lay down is that the ACTOR WHO PLAYS SPARTAN CANNOT SHOW HIS FACE. EVER. IN THE MOVIE.
maybe commentary...

I wonder if they will incorperate the Reach campaign into the movie, or atleast when the PoA escapes, I'd think that would be pretty entertaining.

Oh and Sg. Johnson has to have around MC more often.

Video Game movies over the years:

Super Mario Brothers - God awful.. boooo
Street Fighter - they tried to get every character they COULD in this pile of brown.. just awful.
Tomb Raider and Tomb Raider 2 - are you kidding? Angelina Jolie's boobs can't save every movie.
Mortal Kombat - Entertaining. Good. Cool cinematography. All around, a decent movie. DECENT.
Mortal Kombat: Annihiliation - Street Figher with different actors.
Double Dragon - AHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHA..... HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA
Resident Evil - The only good part was the laser room where the guy got cut into cubes. and Milla's hot.
Resident Evil 2 - Milla's still hot. the movie? more crap.
Alien Vs. Predator - Total garbage. Then again, the same guy that made this movie made RE and RE2, sooooooo.. yeah.

All i can say is: It will NEVER HAPPEN. no one will ever make a good video game movie. Video games aren't translatable to Movies because the story's are interactive which is where most of our enjoyment comes from. Plus, a 15 hour game, shortened into a 2 hour movie? It just doesn't work. At all. Ever. No one is good at it. Plus, most good producers won't touch a video game movie. Maybe if Spielberg was doing the Halo movie i'd put some stock in it, but then again he'd probably make it about fighting space Nazi's. Everything he does is about fighting Nazi's. Don't get me wrong, :nazi: right? but, seriously..

Eh I liked RE 1 & 2 and AvP was ok, had some stupid parts but overall was semi decent. And Tomb Raider 2 wasnt too bad either. Mortal COmbat was fucking awesome tho. I watched that when I was like 7 and loved. Jonny Cage was pimp shit "Those were $200 sunglasses asshole" lol then he whoops the shit outta him.
aka for those who have no fucking clue, Jonny Cage whooped Goros ass.
