Yeah, I think it's a good change too. The fact that there'll be UI indicators to tell you you're going out of range will really help as well. I know it won't be a magic bullet of course, but it's definitely a good step.

I am loving this new planetside era under samhayne, i wish patches and updates began to come this fast when there was a much larger playerbase. Better late that never.

I like this idea, because it rewards everyone instead of the current system which hinders those lean mean killing machines. Now with this, everyone wins. The chart needs a bit more explaining though, I was sort of confused when I first looked at it.
Updates and patches are great, when they're in the right direction. (cough) bending (cough cough)

What was bad about the bending?

Well frankly, the global map now sucks.
And the lattice structure ain't too hot neither.
Battle Islands instead of Oshur tends to just gum things up.
That and, it led into the release of the BFRs, which basically created a net Loss of customers.
Personally the event just before the bending was cool.
It's just what happened after that wasn't that great.

I think Planetside is definatly heading back in the right direction.
It's still a game head and shoulders above the rest in the world of online gaming entertainment, it's unique and will be for a very long time i would think.
We all have our own ideas on how to improve Planetside, many of us have voiced them to some degree, but at the end of the day we place our trust in the dev's to deliver the goods and thus far, barring a few misses (Core Combat original release anyone?) the devs are doing ok, and it's only getting better under the guidence of Samhayne.
I look forward to more content and fixes and ultimatly a fine gaming experiencei can enjoy with thousands of like minded gamers. :)

My mind wasn't nearly as big enough to understand what the guy is saying. I just need to know-
Will this be good/bad for solo players? If bad, there's gunna be a cancelled subscription >.<!

I believe solo-er's get the exact same amount of xp - just that squads that are working together now get more xp... it's not like the chart is hard to understand...

It is for us who;s IQ only has 2 digits :-). Oh well as long as soloers xp isnt effected. I once got 2.5k bep from killin a bfr =]
Ya ppl who kill me always would say they got massive bep. The reason I became a solo player was because there was no benefit in working in a squad, infact they would always hinder me.

I think its looking really cool for Squad ops now, and more of a boon for organized people.

I see, so it doesn't make going solo any worse, but it increases the rewards for going organized in groups. Sounds like an excellent idea to me. :groovy:

i love this new idea. i didnt like squading with support players as much as those that kill alot cause i felt that i was doing the most killing yet i was only getting 30-40xp per kill and being one of a few that were killing i was losing out on massive xp while everyone elso gets xp from me. now i can get the same xp as if i solo'd as long as i'm near my squad and they still get xp while being support. great addition devs, keep it up!
