The new maps look fucking sweet in the source engine, Keep in mind the player models and weapons are the old ones and hopefully will be updated before the game comes out. If this is final its going to be a mother fucking travesty, DoD source should look just as good as CSS. Heres hoping'


Update, one of the developers just confirmed that new player models are being worked on and will make it into the beta.

I used to like DoD. Then I found Red Orchestra. And now since they won the make something unreal contest. It's gonna be sick!

I'll probably play this game. But if everyone on the American side starts using Thompsons, im gonna drop this game and never touch it again.

Whats wrong with Tommys? Personaly I prefer the Spring, BAR, and the good ol carbine for the allies. Axis of course I am a certified Kar whore, undeployed rambo mg42 o' doom, and mp44 crack shot.

Used to play with my father, he whould get quite irate that the Garand isnt always a one shot kill because it was pretty much a better gun then the german POS (the name elludes me right now) all around. But for the sake of game balance they reduced its killing power.

Kar 98 > Garand Hands down in that game the German Kar 98 is so much better than the garand. the Garand isnt 1 shot kill, its not as accurate as the kar.

Thats his point, in the actual fighting the Garand was by and far superior to the 98, its one of the reasons that we had an advantage on the batle field.
