Hello. Saw the link on the WoW forums for a the free trial, and i loved every second of it. Nice to be in large fights without a minute+lag time. But i do have a couple questions.
1. What exactly is aftershock? is it an expansion like core combat? Im not sure what to order because i dont know what this is O_o
2. Is there any way to bypass a training exercise? Mine seemed to be stuck on the vehicles one, it said to select the highlighted vehicle but there was nothing in the window. So i had to start playing without really much idea what to do.
3. Large friendly open-recruiting tribes/clans/outfits/whatever are the staple of every game community. the clans that are generally made fun of by the "1337" 10 man clans that play 24/7. But these end up being the most fun as their atmosphere is generally much more relaxed and focused on entertainment. Is it easy to find one thatll show me the ropes?

Hi there
1) Aftershock is a combination of the original game, with the Core Combat expansion. It was released at the same time as BFRs to allow newcomers to have the expansion pack needed to use them, without the need to buy CC seperatly.
Basically, if you want the expansion back, then you'll want Aftershock.
2) Unfortunately, there isn't a way. There are numerous problems with the training exercises as the missions haven't been updated to accomodate for changes to the game.
3) If you introuduce yourself on this forum (http://psforums.station.sony.com/ps/board?board.id=psrecruiting) you would be able to find an outfit on your server & empire that can show you around and help you settle in. Also, Boot Camp Training is offered to all new players by individual players. A long list of names, sorted by faction and empire, of players who are willing to help new players with problems can be found here (http://psforums.station.sony.com/ps/board/message?board.id=psnewplayers&message.id=7551).
Hope that has helped :)

heh. Dont even bother with training, just use the VR training in the sanctuary, you get XP and learn how to use a wide variety of wepaons/vehicles.

Best bet is buy going into VR and playing with everything. You'll pick up the basics of vehicle movment and weapons use pretty fast, and the next best thing after that is to just get in combat. Don't be afraid to ask questions and make friends - there are lots of folks willing to teach.

1. It's just the normal game + Core Combat
2. Don't worry about it. It's broke, and it doesn't affect the game.
The ingame VR area is whats important.
3. Yes, but you might want to do some research first.
Anyways, Jeff hates me bringing this up, but I primarily wrote this up as a 'noob questions' post.
This should help out a bit:

Also that generally doesn't work too well ;D
What you normally do is get into a secure base in a combated zone
Then type
/b LFO
Should near instantly be sent an invite to an outfit.
Might help if you grab a mike and install teamspeak.
/b LFO - Gamer w/ Teamspeak and Mike
Something like that.
Sanctuary actually kinda sucks for outfit invites ;D
