I have a serious problem. Every time I load aol, after 1 sec it freezes, no mater what i am doing, I can never get onto the internet. The PC works fine, can do stuff while aol is crashed.

I have contacted aol 3 times and got different responses, all didn't work.

I've got -

Defragged hard drive
Uninstalled and reinstalled aol 5 times
Viruses scan
Ad ware scan
Check hard drive for errors
Tried in safe mode
Uninstalled all firewalls

No mater what, it will always freeze.

But the last time I contacted them; they said the only thing left is that it could be a computer problem.

Got -

aol 9.0
Dell dimension 4700 (3 Ghzs, 1 Gb ram, 128 MB Radon graphichs card)
576 kbps broadband

Any help would be aprecheated

So your AOL has to be connected for your broadband to work?

The situation here goes, we have broadband, we have AOL, the broadband stays on all the time(hell aol isn't even installed on this comp), but my parents and sister still use AOL for e-mail.

Whats the error? I connect the same way you do. My father wants AOL, I want broadband, so we comprimised. I haven't had any problems with it though...

I have cinda fixed the internet.

Use "aol dailer" to conect to the internet, but still can't use aol software.

Fixed Internet Explora, just removed a update it instaled.

So i can get on the internet, but not via aol.

Since when is that a problem?

Get rid of the DELL, get rid of AOL. All problems solved.

Eh, AOL is a pain, but a necessary evil for some of us.

I will crush AOL under my boot heel. And Time-Warner for being associated with them at all.

If IE quit before AOL did .. then you have a bigger problem than just AOL not working. AOL has it's place .. and some are forced to use it. So what killed IE before it killed AOL?
