Besides Bio, any of you big on airsoft? After looking and not finding the tactics and strategy I wanted in Paintball, I've moved on to Airsoft.

Just picked up a G36C. Plan on putting a flashlight on it, maybe a scope. Looking for reccomendations on what kind of tactical gear I should get, and any scenarios I could play in my woods (large) with 4-6 people.

I play here in the NEASG. For gear I would recommend a BDU, a vest, and some extra mags. (And boots are a must.)

a few rules in airsoft.

*NEVER mount a flash-light on your rifle, it is the #1 thing to give away your cover.

*get an infrared scope (cost>50 bucks, but its worth it)

*go to a shooting range and practice AT LEAST once every 2 days

*learn how to reload your weapon QUICKLY

*carry a spring-action just in case your rifle's empty and an enemy pops up right in front of you.

*if you wish to go through the pain of loading them, get grenades, they kick ass if you can throw them right and land them perfectly.

*get a custom gun. my own p90 KICKS ASS with its scope, laser sight, gas chamber, 60 round horizontal clip, and 900-round-per-minute rate of fire. the design is 100% custom, cost me a pretty penny, and is based on the real life FN-P90.

if you follow my airsoft gospel, you will own the arena...

Boots, BDU, Tactical Vest or Webbelt gear, and a radio.

What kind of G36 did you get Tokyo Marui or Classic Army?

What the hell is airsoft?

I understand paintball is balls of paint, would airsoft be like... soft air? :p

Quasar, I'm afraid I don't have the money to shell out for any kind of night-capable scope or goggle. Flashlight is my only option.

Classic Army.

I hear the Classic Army one is pretty cool, how is it? I despise classic army for their poor M16s but ive heard nothing but good from the G36.

You dont need that much to play airsoft, just the stuff I listed. You really dont need to deck out on a ton of crap. Unless your playing a camp out in the woods game.

Airsoft are plastic BB's..i'm not sure what caliber though..maybe the same as a paintball at .68 caliber?

Maybe one day i'll try Airsoft...but i'm still a huge paintball fan...

Airsoft BBs are normally 6mm, back in the day they used to be 7mm. Some guns, mostly revolvers use 8mm.

What hurts more? (Let's say in the back...)

A Paintball or an Airsoft BB?

Same distance.

It depends on alot of factors.

In most cases paintball, but in airsoft you dont get hit once you get hit several times.
