alot going on with BFRs
more or less a full on nerf with the return of half the repurchase timer, not being a BFR pilot and a frequent marauder driver (BFR! RUN!) I'de have to say this is looking good for me, and often finding myself spitting striker rockets at these things from the wall and wondering what exactly I am accomplishing, well now I know.

What the hell is with all the bfr nerfs!! omg >_< they know they made them so shitty that they lowered the timer.
I like to see the water splash damage. Now magriders can't sit out on a lake or river and be relatively safe.

You still hold a manuervung ability as well as the pilot weapon. And you still can attack from the water, and flee to it. i realy dont think its that big a deal.

And the rail gun on the mag is VERY accurate...

Not true at all. Any decent Magrider will stay far away from enemy vehicles when fighting them, making its nearly instant-hit main gun with its extreme accuracy far more effective than anything the enemy can throw at it. What good is the vaunted power of a fully manned Prowler's guns if the slow shells, fast/small target, fire arc, and whatever obstructions are in the way prevent most of your shots from impacting on or near your target? I've played with a friend as a Magrider team extensively on Markov, and the idea that the Magrider somehow lacks power against enemy vehicles is absolutely ridiculous, and I really hate it when people cite that as the reason Magriders can go on water or snipe air vehicles or whatever.
The above also applies to the VS/NC BFR gunner AV weaponry compared to the TR BFR gunner AV weaponry. It's sick how much better the NC's blue beams of death are than the TR ultra-slow shells and, to a lesser extent, the VS's BFR gunner AV weapon. If the projectile moves quickly and is very accurate (relatively speaking), there are very few things that can compensate for that. But, then, I guess the answer the devs would give is: 'Some Empires are meant to be better than others at certain things.' I just wish I didn't have to constantly deal with the other guys having all the "better at other things" weapons/vehicles.
