Instead of feeling pain, the patient experienced the characteristic sense of euphoria that accompanies a complete lack of food and water. She was cogent for weeks, chatting with her caregivers in the nursing home and writing letters to family and friends. As her organs finally failed, she slipped painlessly into a coma and died.

Because its such BS. How could starving to death be "euphoric", really? Think about it.

Me thinketh he is making a point about the media and the lengths it will go to convince people they are right.

They want Shivo to die. That's political, that they would write a story this absolutely RETARDED that only a tabloid reader should believe... is unbelievably funny.

She's braindead.... what the fuck is she gonna feel. That's not a person anymore it's just a body. My grandma was pritty much in this same situation, feeding tube and all. Except she was NOT in a comma, alive and well, but Hospice pulled her plug anyway. So this ain't a "who the fuck cares" opinion.

Yeah, but would you want Jen to, 6 months after you were injured before there was time to see how bad off you were, to move in with some guy, bare 2 children by him and repeatedly ask "when is that bastard going to die" and refuse you treatement?

Sorry Hamma, this guy makes me sick. Meh I wish I had never heard of the case. It sux all the way around.

Also the fact that he's getting a large sum of money from the insurance company for her death.
Just thinking of this guy makes me want to vomit.

Shes been brain dead for what? 15 years?

She just needs to go ahead and die, i would rather die than sit in a shell for 15 years.

The verdict total was $1,000,000 for a medical malpractice lawsuit, $700k for her medical care, $300k for the husband for loss of companionship. From what I understand, the entire 700k has been used up for her care, and most of the 300k as well. I'm not certain - I'll have to look up the some of the court procedings to be sure, but I've seen those figures a couple of times in the news. Where did you hear that he would get an insurance settlement for her death? Or did you actually mean the original payment from the medical malpractice?
