Does anyone have, or play this game? Unfortinatly no one plays it online. There are maybe 5 people and 2 games online on a good day. Even still, I love this game. I play with my friends when they come over and skirmishes against the computer when I can't find anyone else to play with. It has a feeling of tactical warfare that I have yet to see in any other RTS. I just finished a match against a computer on the hardest setting. It left me with this realy cool fealing like I used superior tactics to win, as opposed to building up more units and zerging like in alot of RTS's.
If your looking for a good older game to pick up, its probably pretty cheap by now. If you already have it post here so I can play one of you online.

I have only really been playing against the computer so i should be easy. Finding a good game online is too much of a hastle. The very few people that do play on line are pretty damn good. Every time I play an online game I get owned.

hit and run tactics using dust clouds to mask your ships, cloaking tactics etc. Homeworld 2 also incorporates tactics that quite literally don't have a definition yet, it being in 3 dimensional space and the future and all.
For example... when placing minefields you've got an X, Y, and Z axis to deal with. I love how that game makes you think outside the box.

Alot of people just play the game on the x and y axis. If you use the z axis, it can yeild nice results.

Dude, nothing beats the curses you receive when you send your fleet descending on an enemy carrier from directly above, completely circumventing their elaborately placed platforms and probes, meticulously set up all on the x and y axis.
My favorite thing to do is to build minelayers as soon as possible and then fill resource belts with cubes of mines. The enemy spends the rest of the match trying to build more resource collectors.
