WARNING SPOILERS.... but who really cares, the movie sucked anyway

I just watched this movie. It was crap. An hour and a half of 2 people swimming around at sea. "Omg a shark.... omg a lot of sharks, good thing they are going to wait till the end of this movie to actualy bite anyone." And when the guy dies, his bitch ass gf/wife dosent even shed a tear, she just sends him drifting off to sea to be eaten by sharks right in front of her a few min later. (again, no emotion.)

Don't bother seeing this movie.

I swear, they're running out of ideas for good movies. Either a movie is too cliche, or its something thats trying to be original but just ends up retarded.

it wasn't that good of a movie, thats a given. what made the movie such a big deal was that the way they shot it, was real. it was a very low budget film so they actually did swim in the water with a ton of sharks swimming around them. they weren't in any cages of any sort, they were in open water with live sharks around them. they're emotions did play a role in their acting, seeing as they were surrounded by live sharks the whole time. yes they did have security measures but anything can happen.

What kind of security measure can you have in a situation like that?

Giant robots with laser eyes!

But seriously it didn't take a genius to figure out the movie would suck... hell I knew it before it even was in the theaters. All it took was a trailer to tell me what it would be like.

yeah im curious as well.

"Don't worry, just say your lines. Those giant sharks won't bite you, we have 'security measures' in place. Oh, and try not to bleed if you can help it."

possibilities are that they could have a rope tied to them so if th sharks decided to attack, they can pull the out of the water. i'm sure someone on the set had a gun as a another safety measure. to think that you guys would think they wouldn't have safety measures...c'mon guys. would you do a movie like that if their weren't any safety measures?

Most people either loved it or hated it. Like Blairwitch... The story behind the movie is more interesting than the movie. Despite the fact that its loosely based on a true story the movie was shot and produced with nearly all consumer or high end consumer grade equipment. It took a very long time to make the movie as at some points they could only collect the actors and the few crew together for just a weekend. From what I read it took almost 2 years to complete all the scenes.

The fact that it was shot with cameras that cost less than $2500 and the sound and video was mastered on a desk top PC with out of the box software from CompUSA is the intresting part. It opens new doors for small time directors to waste more of our time and collect more of our money.
Hell, porn has been like that for years... and who the hell watches an entire porno?

my dad rented this the other day, I didn't watch, but once I walked by and saw sharks. I half expected them to have freakin laser beams attached to their heads. Might have watched it then.
