Yes, I skate. I don't sk8, I SKATE. As in Skateboarding, now that that's out of the way.
Since the snow has finally melted and the sun is finally shining I've decided to bust out my board. Thing is I suck! I can Ollie, Shuv-it (barely), do manuals and skate... that's about fucking it. Note: I've been skating street for about 4 years, but I have never actually sticked to it... I skated maybe six days out of the summer maybe broke my board if I was too rough with it... but this year I decided to stick to it and get better.
I've owned a Birdhouse, a Darkstar and my current one is an Element (I loved the shape and the weight)
Anyways, I'll probably be one of the only ones but do any of you have tips for Vert or street? Post of picture of you're board?
Here's mine

(Ive seen many great things in my life when skating, 12 stair kick flips, tripple kickflips of loading docks, manuling enitre raods...but there was nothing more bad ass then getting Infernus on my baord in the middle of a pakade. Oh the good days)

You do not know the definition of sucking with a skateboard. I could almost stay standing on the board while it was moving before i quit and went back to video games.

Dude, lay off of him. It doesnt matter if he IS spider or not, you are contributing nothing, only spreading animosity.

Actually, I found it funny, if only because he threw a fit when cornered about everything on IRC and vowed never to return.

Thanks Derfud and Black!
Oh and Fire... Skateboards are about 150$ if you buy everything, not that expensive if you ask me. But then again maybe your just dirt fucking poor.
Viper I never quite understood the world industries boards they seem too wide and flat to actually pull off any tricks.

My career in stakeboarding:
Got on a board once..fell off of it...thats the end...
I haven't skated in 7 years. I skated when it wasn't "cool" to be a skater; right before skating took off to what it is today. I was the most bad ass 14 year old skater in my little town or so the hot girls that hung out with skaters told me. Nothing brings greater joy to a 14 year old when hot 18 year olds tell them that he rocks. :)
I've never broken any bones, just had some bad road rash and almost split my nut sack. Broke 4 boards 2 of which I owned. I'd snap a board trying to do something then I'd be like, "Dude let me try just one more time on your board, I won't snap it I know what I did wrong now." Then I'd try it again and *snap* And lets see... Oh had something like 2 or 3 "rides" in a squad car to remove us from a "no skateboarding" zone, and 1 board confiscated. They probably still have it down at the station.
In my city, you weren't allowed to skate anywhere, at all. The best place to skate was the top level of the hospital parking lot. What we'd do so not to get caught is we'd have a look out down one level in the stair well then when he, or I cause I was forced to be the look out most of the time, would do is run up the first few steps, yell mall guard (mall guard was our derogatory term for city cops cause we though if them as nothing more than fat mall guards with guns.) Then wed be running down one level as they drove up and could usually get out of the garage and down one block before theyd even get out of the top to levels of the garage.
What sucks now is we had to be careful where we skated and watch out for cops, now I see skaters all over the place and now my city has a skate park. I guess they though if they put up a park they wouldn't skate around everywhere. But it sucks we wanted a skate park back then! Oh well life goes on.
